Bit of a rip there, should be able to do that aftermarket for half the price, easy. I guess you don't always keep the full warranty that way, but at least you don't have to turn your SS into a JDM-style fake carbon whore.
Bit of Holden marketing for you.

Hint Marco...look at your post above there are two places where it tells you...
well I am not impressed with all the verbage in that ad....
having stuck my bum in a couple versions (EVOKE and SV6) this morning, I have to say the VF has the most uncomfortable seats I have found in any Holden
..since I sat on a bench seat in my old man's HK circa 1970. why?
the seat adjustment ..or lack of is absolutely terrible. The old adjustment wheel for seat back angle is gone..replaced by a notch system which only allows
adjustment in what appears to be 50-70mm movements up or back. Plus the seat base cannot be tilted (I was sliding forwards off the seat coz
of the poor angle) and the seat height adjustment is a joke. A 1984 VK Commodore with its little side lever had a better system of height adjustment...
let alone VT which was all electric. All cheap and nasty Holden. And then they rave on as per the ad!
I seriously have to think about sticking our sale reps (who may spend 6 -8 hours daily) in a car with such crap seating.... Been following this thread
but cannot find if anyone else got issues with this?
It was mentioned/complained about in the Wheels review. I hate seats with the lever system, you've usually got a choice of two angles which are not quite right.
I haven't sat in a Calais v yet ( I bought one) but went for drives in ss and ssv and loved the seats and the positions, didnt look at evoke but that sounds good at all
I sat in a Calais V seat and it was very comfortable...will have mine on Friday so can provide more feedback then :)
Calais is great seating. SS (same seats as SV6)I thought was really good to.
The Evoke, SV6 and SS only get height adjustment on the seats, the rest get tilt adjustment as well. I've been driving the SV6 for a few weeks and find the seating quite comfortable. The rear part of the seat cushion is lower than the front so I don't feel like I'm sliding off the seat. One thing I did notice is that as the seat gets higher it does seem to tilt slightly flatter, however I generally keep my seat at the lowest setting so it doesn't affect me. I'm not a tall person but I do like to sit lower in the car. Even the lever system for the seat back adjustment is fine for me. It's not as specific as the old wheel system, but pretty close in it's notch settings.
the higher priced models have full power adjustment so the ratchet on those models at least is not an issue.
I dont think they put in the rachet rather than the wheel as a cost saver, I actually prefer it, especially when you want to make a large change such as lay the seat down. it takes forever with the wheel but one movement with the rachet.
I wonder if the HSV guard flutes could be made to fit in the VF. The angle leaning forward is too much for such a thin flute. The VE HSV ones would look a lot better and less tacky.
