More details about this thing, it was a concept car..
"The 1938 Dymaxion wasn't just a car—it was a radical concept vehicle birthed from the mind of futurist and inventor Buckminster Fuller. Intended to redefine transportation, it combined automotive design, aerodynamics, and the dream of efficiency into a striking teardrop-shaped body. The Dymaxion’s most striking feature was its unconventional layout: a three-wheeled design with two wheels in the front for propulsion and a single rear wheel for steering. Powered by a Ford V8 engine mounted in the rear, it could reach speeds around 90 mph and promised excellent fuel economy for its time. The aircraft-inspired shape, complete with pontoon fenders and wraparound windows, allowed for smoother airflow and reduced drag, showcasing Fuller’s obsession with efficiency. It could seat up to eleven passengers in its bubble-like cabin, promising a futuristic approach to urban and family transportation."
did not know it was Buckminster. ... so who is he?
He is better known for development of the geodesic dome, the only large dome that can be set directly on the ground as a complete structure
and after who, buckminsterfullerene molecules(aka Bucky balls) were named. The discovery of fullerenes led to the exploration of a new field
of chemistry involving the study of fullerenes.
