Re: HSV Gen- F Official Pics Released (Warning: pic heavy)
The GTS was started tonight and given a rev with bimodal on and off. Need to hear it under load and sounded nice but nothing overwhelming.

Manual available for Senator and looks like bi-modal exhaust can be turned on and off on R8 and up.

Remote start on auto only. Kinda cool feature

GTS not officially launched till late August and September will be GTS build month. Was told they are selling fast and if I want one this year I should move quickly.

Worlds largest badge on the rear of the R8 ?
I'll keep my GTO thanks. They look horrendous.

I love the GTS.
I’m surprised the speedo only goes to 260 km/h.
I would have expected to see it reading up around the 300 to 320 mark.

Maloo - Actually, the rear isn't too far removed from the E3 so it's OK. Just a few extra creases in the rear bumper and on the hard top. The side skirts aren't my cup to tea. I like the VE skirts with the mesh/vent at the back. Moving the mesh/vent to the front seems like the did it just to do something. The front, I guess they've taken out the grill insert and put some mesh there. The apparent look is that the bonnet and front bar don't line up!! I'll still have to see it in real life to decide but at this point, who on here has a Phantom E3 and wants to send it to NZ?

For me, the seat trim is effing terrible. Other than that, not a bad effort.

The official photos of the GTS aren't that flash, doesn't show enough of the lines.. This photo makes it look great though!

The front bar looks a bit too "supercheap auto" to me, no real flow to it, but the rear quarter shot is very nice.
They tamed down the maloo a lot.
I think they will all look 100x better with a bit of a lowering job, and as said looks much better in the video than the CGI renders.

Well, now that the GTS is FINALLY here, I think it's AWESOME......The only problem HSV will have, is keeping up with the demand, after the car goes on sale, as I've previously said, in September.
Has anybody made any enquiries about how long the delivery wait is likely to be, if for instance ya didn't order for a few months and they had say an "order bank" of 200 to build, I wonder how long the wait would be? If the engine supply is assured, then maybe there won't be much of a delay...I don't know.
Anyway, WELL DONE, & CONGRATULATIONS to HSV.
Cheers, Pickles.

Interesting to see they're using Continental tyres across the range.

All but the GTS look dog ugly I'm sorry to say, and the white seems a poor choice for the Hero colour. Especially disappointing job on the senator (blech!, doubly so since the last one was the pick of the bunch as per usual) and the maloo (virtually identical to the SS ute).
Having said that, I'm thinking a phantom GTS could actually look pretty damn sweet, and I normally hate black cars.
