Bugger them!
Its under warranty so regardless of stupid technician error or bad engine design its on HSV.
Get them to transport it to the workshop at their expense to sort it out.
And waiting for gauges to tell you whats happening to your engine????? WTF?
Your car could have caught fire FFS!!!
I have seen it happen with my own eyes, albeit an oily rag left under the bonnet.
You pay F'N good money for HSV to service our vehicles properly but unfortunately in this day and age we have to constantly check every ones work to be sure.
What happens if you are a complete idiot when it comes to cars but like a nice ride?
Actually for the idiot on here that said you should regularly check under the bonnet, try servicing your own Lamborghini and see how far you get.
Yea, I know, its a stretch from a 'normal' car but I am trying to make a point.

If you buy a car and don't check stuff like your fluids regularly then you're the idiot. We're not talking about a half million dollar supercar, it's a tarted up taxi. Let me guess, if it has an issue, runs out of oil and lunches itself you'd consider it a defect that the engine lunched (instead of you being the dickhead that drove it until it lunched).
People like you shouldn't own cars, go back to walking.

Agreed. I'm amazed.
Comments on modified car forum, calls another poster an 'idiot' because he suggests that you should regularly check under the bonnet. WTF?
Guess I must an idiot.
Re: Dipstick not fitted after first service = now oil all over new engine
My hands up, I'm an idiot too!
Can't remember the last time I opened the bonnet and I've had it over 11 years.
I'm assuming that Holden made it idiot proof enough that Joe average could drive it to the end of the street without it catching fire/blowing up...:fishing:
Re: Dipstick not fitted after first service = now oil all over new engine
Not it looks like Rosberg is an idiot too. Didn't check under the bonnet before going out on the track and it failed on him! :lmao:
Another great run by Dan to finish third on 37 lap old tyres...
Re: Dipstick not fitted after first service = now oil all over new engine
I'm an idiot too...but certain people line up on here to tell me that on a weekly basis...:lmao:
Actually, the "real" idiot is the one that puts a section in the owners manual relating to weekly checks. Who the hell reads the owners manual!

I find the whole "apprentice" bashing thing less than intelligent. Today's senior mechanics were all yesterday's apprentices, and if truth be known (bar a few fcuktards like any job has), an apprentice that needs his job and wants to impress is often far more focused than an older mechanic who is sick of working, and probably pays heaps of his weekly wage to an ex-wife who has the kids so regularly has the sh!ts up...

Apologies if it came across a bit harsh Mick. My comment directed at you because of "more turnover less care more fukups" comment, rather than singling you out for anti-apprentice comments.
Back to the subject of apprentices, one other thing I find about apprentices vs experienced- since it's a bit of a regular negative topic on internet forums- is that apprentices are more likely to follow manufacturer procedures, whereas qualified mechanics often just go head first into a job- even on cars they've never worked on before- without bothering to do the homework on the procedures. They just do "what they've always done". That's usually fine and becomes second nature with "experience"- unless the job doesn't want to be done how it's always been done...

I wonder if it was the same person that broke one of lines underneath my Captiva when they were fixing the sump a while ago, went into pick it up and they said we broke one of the lines underneath so we are going to need it for a few days to fix hey at least they gave me a loaner for the week.
