The bid history should be shown IMO, then the process would be completely open, for everybody to track the actual bid progression in real time.

Exactly!
A few points...
One would be that these guys & auctions are heavily regulated, these guys are not cowboys & won't risk being fined & closed down for falsifying bids.
Another... This is a very rare car which will attract buyers.
Another... Auction company does not own the car & only make money (a very healthy commission) if they sell it so they would not risk a false bid which might lose a genuine sale.
Another... This is a very high profile car & auction, there are way too many people watching to do anything dodgy.
I wonder what the reserve price is & if it will achieve it? :hide:
Current Bid: $510,000 :yup:
I never said Lloyds Auctions was dodgy...
My point being... it would look dodgy, if it was shown that a single bidder was biding against themselves, multiable times in a row. Without a complete bid history list, we don't know this for a fact.
If the history was shown, and people could see that there are heaps of different people bidding, not just one bidder against themselves... that would create vastly more interest in the auction.

In your second last post you posted that you never said there is anything dodgy?
You are the only one trying to cast doubt.
They know what they are doing & have a very good reputation, the bidding on the auction is going well.
Now, for the very last time, as they say at auctions "fair warning"... leave it alone!
It's gone over a million dollars now.
It's currently at one million, ten thousand dollars with over 9 days to go. :goodjob:

Could well overtake Peter Brock's 1982-3 Bathurst winning commodore that sold recently.
That was sold by LLoyds for a record breaking $2,100,000 a few days ago.

I doubt this will make as much but who knows, it's still got a while to run.
