Re: Another car added to the caryard
Speaking about enclosed setups just bought a Roto Fab Pod from the states.

Yes it will retain the MAF too, no OTR for me! :nono:

Did you order that direct from roto?
What did the landed cost end up hurting you if you don't mind me asking.
I like that setup with the dry filter.

This is the VF style about $800 aud though the VT VZ style ones could be less not sure.

I like that you can see the filter, enclosed but can still see when it needs cleaning. Unfortunately I would not fit that in with my custom power steering resorvoir and heat exchanger header tank for the blower.

It looks like a nice bit of bling
but I don't think it would really net you any power gains over what you already have Rod.
Re: Another car added to the caryard
Using these frequently in the states with FI & zero lean out conditions as happens with all OTR's. Yes they are an expensive kit though do have solid results.

Not knocking them Mick, they look like a very high quality, smart looking product
but Rod doesn't have an OTR with his FI setup
he has a similar, great reputable brand, same type of enclosed pod intake system on his already.
I can't imagine a flashy perspex cover would net him any power gains at all.
But heck yes, this one is certainly the clear beauty pageant winner. :yup:
Re: Another car added to the caryard
Just replaced the pod setup with the VCM Otr, looks a lot cleaner now Kyle chose the alloy one, seems to have a bit more go now.
It's wet here found a couple of streets where no mater what you do it will spin the rears idle is the best speed.

Re: Another car added to the caryard
Finally did oil and filter on the Ute last change was 2017 by a place in Darlington wasn't hard to figure it that it had been awhile.
So that's now done, have bloody exhaust leak that i can't fix rhs extractor base pipe gasket was leaking replaced that made no difference so i will take that to an exhaust shop to get the fixed, to old to fat to be rolling around under cars.
Pretty sure it has a spool in it nice chirpy inside tyre on tight turns.
Bites hard.

I would get rid of the spool in a big hurry Wayne.
You don't need to get the wrong sort of attention
or worse having the rear sliding around all over the place in the wet with your young fella driving it.

My thoughts exactly, i have driven it in the wet gets taily if you don't watch out, and with kyle not ever having driven anything with a lot more power than a V6 i don't want him ending up a statistic.
So what is the best option, something like a true trak would that be a good option.
