Don't get it, are you saying that you are disappointed with the result because you didn't get something that you didn't even want in the first place  :rolleyes:Quote:

I'd have to agree BEARWOOD, I got 3.9's put in about 2 weeks ago, and I was pretty dissapointed I didn't get the 4.11's. I thought they'd be TOO short but I can barely notice the difference between 3.46 and 3.9's.
It does feel like its going to pull harder from the start, but have'nt had much of a chance to play. But for cruising (110Km) 6th is still out of the question with the cam package I have (kicks round like a kangaroo). It'll be interesting to see how much difference it makes on the track.
Biggest difference I noticed with the 3.9's it made 1st significantly short feeling and bunched the gears together, the whole box just flows better.
I'd be getting that looked at. My mate's SS with M6/3.9s pulled fine @ 110km/h in 6th, with the standard cam. Now that it's got heads/cam it accelerates fine, and barely shows a hint of struggling even on steep hills.Quote:

You can't get around a 0.5:1 moonshot gear unless you've got rediculous torque like drewbytes ;)

Just put some worn tread on the back, that'll make it kick out no problem.Quote:

Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I was aware series 1 VZ LS1 manuals came out with 3.73 gears as opposed to 3.46 gears on previous models?
the vz ss utes came standard with 3.46. the sedans 3.73.
