Is it just me or is there something wrong with the front of the VF? Too soft?
It works for the Calais but not for the sports models.
HSVs look tough enough.

It's the big ugly headlights. Another reason that is putting me off a purchase. I think the headlights work best with the Calais front end tho, the sportier range don't look so sporty with those headlights.
Also I can't help it but every time I see this angle of the VF

This keeps popping up into my head

Just a quick question saves me reading the whole thread with the 38990 price for the ute would that be drive away or do u still have ad dealer delivery charges etc on top of the price
I had a look at a bluey grey Calais yesterday. From previously posted pictures I had decided I wanted one. In real life it was bloody awfull. The rear looks like a cross between an old model 5 series BMW and a Toyota something
And the front is just all aurion. As for the front gaurd flute. Cheeaaap. Is all I can say. I'm really disapointed
Check out Metro Holden in Adelaide on FB, they took delivery of their first VF's this morning......
ive decided the darker colours look great on this car....but the lighter colours show it as a fugly beast. Still cant quite pull myself to do it yet tho.....
Hi all
Never thought i'd be reading a Holden forum let alone posting. Anyway I did end up with a series 1 VE SS ute as a work car due to the want of a V8 and Ford not having them at the time and have started to look at this "VF" thing as a bit of serious kit and could just become a 7 day drive.
I got a bit exited about a new Redline ute but can't seem to see the value given all the attention to price cutting and then comparing to the sedan they don't seem to discount the lack of Bose stereo.
The additions over the VSS don't seem that great (do you get a flashing light just before you slam into the back of the car in front etc) so I'm now in two minds.
Has anyone got there hands on the keys (or fobby thing) and had a drive? What kind of sound system has it got?
Would love to read a few comments from some hard core "Lion Lovers"

I think forward collision alert also increases pressure at the brakes in readyness of driver input, not just an alert.
I wouldn't bank on the Boring Old Sound Equipment to be too big of a step up.
farkford you are a bit premature mate....dealers in Adelaide started getting delivery of VF's yesterday and I would think other dealers around the country during this week.
I assumed it would just play the sound of Homer Simpson screaming through the audio speakers: http://deadon.files.wordpress.com/20...stnut_tree.jpg
Might have jumped the gun a bit, never thought a Holden would get me excited. Just thought some of the loyal followers might of had a spin and offer an opinion.
Wasn't really expecting much from "Bloody Ordinary Sound Equipment" but remember seeing it as an expensive option but doesn't seem to get factored off with the ute vs sedan costs. The series 1 stereo is pretty much sh!t I reckon
