Ive spent many years working all around the world with my job and ive spent quiet a few days in Monaco over the years. On one occasion stayed a few nights in hotel de Paris overlooking casino square with a balcony one level up or might have been two in 2010 and over those 3 nights had 200 possibly closer to 500 Ferraris Lambos you name it drove by the Casino square got parked or just cruised by. I was a with a 5 year old kid as well and he could tell the difference in sound without looking when one drove by between a V12 or V8 Ferrari or V12, V10 or V8 lambo and Aston Martin and others. After a while it was who cares its not a big deal if you drove a decent chev v8 people would look up its all in perspective people here think a Ferrari sounds good with its flat plane crank bullshit its boring go over to europe and listen to a V8 like what guys on here have. Take it to Monaco and the Frenc will think the same the same the sound of a barking chev on the high mountain walls in Monaco past the old servo just up from the Casino built into the rocks with an F40 up on blocks which ive seen that would pull crowds.
We have it good in Australia no one else has the good old V8 sedans that we have. Even though we do get ripped off on euro cars. But let no one feel that their car they are working on or buying here is less then overseas our cars are the best.
offshore,...I think our cars are pretty good too mate.
In fact, I think VF, in either Calais, CalaisV, Redline, SSV, GenF HSV, or whatever, are ALL very good, there's something for everyone there...in fact, for the money, I can't see how ya could do better.
Of course there's always those who say things like "the trim/plastics are crap", "the doors don't close", "paint is crap" etc etc etc. I ain't one of those.
I reckon Holden have done a brilliant job with limited dollars, in a VERY tough market, with VF, so I agree with you.
Cheers, Pickles.
Saw my first white Gen F GTS this morning on the motorway.......what jumped out at me straight away were the yellow calipers..they demand that you look at them......and the number plate on that car was "VOLTAGE"..... :goodjob:
