Maybe something in between would be closer to the mark.

Morning guys, new here. In the process of acquiring a Redline (still 3wks away for a manual) and there was no upgrade for the Brembos, even went so far as to sneak a look through the pink option book when the salesman went out for 15mins to check something. Wouldve loved to delete the sunroof but no can do on that
There is nothing mentioned in the Brochures or on Holden’s Official Consumer Website.
I sat on the salesman’s lap while we went through the options list for the VF2 SSV Redline in the Holden computer ordering system and after stopping to discuss what this upgrade was, the option for a factory only fitted upgrade for the standard Redline Brembos was ticked.
If no-one else who has ordered a Redline has seen this in the ordering System then are there any Holden salespeople on the Forum that know what this option is or can confirm that I need to make sure to get my money back?
The Series 1 Redline had front Brembo brakes only, with the exception of the Craig Lowndes Pack which had front and rear. The Series 2 Redline has front and rear Brembos and there is no option to upgrade them.
The only brake upgrade available is the performance brakes with V8's excluding the Redline. The performance brakes are the same as those fitted to the US police packs, but not as good as the Brembos. Cost is only $350 so well worth it. For that you get larger vented front rotors and calipers with high performance pads.
Be the reason I won't consider one :nono:Quote:

Hi mac06, I was waiting to hear from you.
Yes I know about the ‘US Police Park’ which is being offered as a $350 option for the V8’s other than Redline.
The upgrade I’m talking about is in the System for $318.18 which with GST added would be $350.
I was the second Redline at the Dealership to be optioned with the upgrade.
I questioned the upgrade and asked the Dealership to confirm it for me through Holden and two working days later they contacted me and said the upgrade package for the Redline consisted of larger slotted rotors, larger callipers, the callipers were of better quality over the standard Brembos callipers offered on the Redline with an improved action and a different set of pads.
The Dealer has a car coming in with this option so I’ll go and check it out.
I was hoping someone may have heard of the upgrade as I believe you are probably right.
.
It'll be primarily the Mrs' car, and she opted it over the wagon because no manual available, so it could've been worse. She is already keen to bring it down to wakefield with the club so another set of rims and some NT01s will be the next thing to save for [emoji21]
Originally hoped to have it today so i could take it around Eastern creek GP tomorrow lunch for a 'passenger ride' session with the kids [emoji22]
$350 doesn't sound like enough to upgrade all 4 brembos....
On a side note and not wanting to start an entirely new thread, there was another attempt to steal cars from Holden this morning it seems. Was out running with a few work mates at around 0745 and heading past the vehicle holding yard just off Commercial Rd and noticed a heap of broken car bits and a section of fence flattened. Police were starting to arrive as we went past and taking photos etc, and quite a few Holden workers were inside checking out the cars. Haven't seen anything on the News yet.
