Let alone if they swapped holden auto to manual xr8, how hard it is to get the manual xr8 off the line. Not something you learn in a few goes. This is me and man it's hard. I gave up without trac control on after about 10 goes of smoke or bogged down. (Borrowed one for a weekend)

The question is now to see how fast someone can get a stock VF II down the strip in an auto. I trust forum drivers more than these magazine drivers. I already know the XR8 with the worst driver would still be able to do a 12.7.. But still I wish they would do 40-80kmh and 80-120kmh tests

The magazines usually test two up ie. passenger and driver. They also use a VBox data logger which is GPS based and is generally .2 - .3 seconds slower than the dual staging lights at the strip. I'm pretty sure they ensure at least half a tank of fuel as well. They do test the 80-120km/h in the magazines as well.Quote:
