I do know CAE have changed their header designs a couple of times.. These being their latest arrangement. I'm interested to see how they go :)

Awesome project mate, the thing is gonna go like a rocket with an ls1 in it!! I had a vn v6 a while back and even it was quicker than my vt v6, only thing you might have trouble with is keeping it straight! :rofl:

Oil pressure sensor goes in the hole in the last picture. Keep up the good work :)
I thought this was the case for the bigger fitting... only it doesn't seem to fit the V6 oil pressure switch in any way at all, which I'm sure it is supposed to so that the factory oil pressure warning light will function properly.
The fittings are listed as
Temp gauge adaptorsuit 1/8" N.P.T. thread
Oil pressure 3-way T piece
fairly self explanatory, just the sensors from the V6 that I thought were meant to fit up to them simply don't. At all.
Any ideas where that water temp one goes?
Job well done so far sam , ive done the same conversion into a VL ( which is basically the same as yours ) and reading/looking at the mods you have made it is identical to what i had to do .
As mentioned yes that is the oil pressure switch for the LS1 , from memory the LS1 computer needs that switch as an input to function correctly . Is the brass fitting an adapter so you can run both switches ? .
Regarding the gearbox castings , to fit the VL body i had to remove all of the excess castings ( about 8 in total ) and "clearence" the trans tunnel to clear the reverse lockout solonoid from touching the body . It is also important to get the driveline angles correct as T56's will chew out the extension housing seal very quickly if they are wrong . I can give you a reference point if you need some help .
ps. Have you got a slave cylinder spacer in your kit ? If so can i have a pic of it . Ive got one of the 1st mal wood kits in mine and it didnt have the slave cyl spacer which im going to have to get soon to help fix the gear selection problem im getting as the clutch starts to wear .

It seems the brass 3-way fitting is so I can run both the LS1 and the 304 oil pressure sensors. This is doing my head in though, because surely with the fitting standing up at the back of the manifold there it will just air lock and give false readings.......?
I read about a VL LS1 conversion and it was mentioned that a lot of that casting removal was unnecessary in the VN-VS tunnel as the VL's one is significantly smaller.. I'm hoping to get away with bashing the tunnel out where necessary, bearing in mind of course that it will twist over a fair bit under load so allowing extra space for that.
Any advice you have regarding driveline angles will be appreciated. I'll get some adjustable upper arms for the rear axle one day but I don't think they will be critical at this stage. Still unsure on this.

This is where your crank angle sensor goes aswell. You'll need that :)

Its not the rear section of the driveline ( ie centre bearing to diff ) but the front section ( extension housing to centre bearing ) that needs to be right . 2 ( +/- 1 )degrees is acceptable on the angle of the front section of the tailshaft . It basically means mount the engine as low as possible and tuck the gearbox as high as possible.
Your right on the VL trans tunnel its the tightest fit out of all the commo's for the T56 . I wasnt sure on what the VN was like , proberly more like a VR/VS.
