are they the "jeep" side steps or aftermarket? have you had the front windows tinted the same as the back or tinted the back aswell?
been trying to figure out if to get the diesel or the petrol V6, what have you got and your thoughts
Garry
I've reviewed both and think both engines are good, the diesel has heaps of torque so it would be perfect for towing, the V6 goes well also it surprised me I thought it was going to be more thirstier then it was.
Can't remember the exact figures but in bumper to bumper was averaging 16L/100km, I did a long drive around dirt roads and such and averaged 10 for the whole trip the 8 speed makes a difference that was also for the 4x2 laredo the 4x4 might use more.
The diesel Overland i drove i averaged 12 to 13/L 100km in traffic and 8.1 on the freeway I did over 700km in a week in it mix of bumper to bumper and highway driving and averaged 9.1 for the week it still had a 1/4 of tank when i had to give it back. I reviewed over 30 cars now and there's only 3 that the missus said she would own and the Overland was top of the list. if you want check my reviews out www.kts350.com

thanks i read your reviews earlier and just wanted some feedback from some owners.
this will be a "KEEPER" so as to why i can't decide on the diesel or the petrol. the diesel should be better over the LONG RUN, but the extra $ for the diesel is whats swaying towards the petrol. it will be doing the ringroad start to finish 3 times a week plus weekend duties to echuca. works out about 900 k's a week.

I have a van that the plate says weighs 1530Kg, (19'6" dual axle full height van), towed it twice now from Sydney to Batemans Bay, towcar MY10 SV6 (SIDI) auto - pretty sure I get about 20 l/100Km. After about a 300Km drive the 71l tank of the SV6 is getting close to empty however the low fuel light didn't come on. 12.5 with a van that weighs a ton more is excellent economy.

Did anyone here that bought a Jeep GC consider or test drive a LR Discovery 4? The two seem to be compared quite often, just wanted to know what swayed people towards the Jeep?

Price, I paid $69500 for the Overland Diesel with extras !!!
Re: 2014 jeep grand cherokee. anyone got one?
Wow, I thought the overland was over 80k, especially with the diesel donk?
Re: 2014 jeep grand cherokee. anyone got one?
My optioned up 2014 SRT was 86k drive away. That's WA which is dearer too.
Re: 2014 jeep grand cherokee. anyone got one?
while up at Echuca over Easter and ANZAC day weekend we test drove a LAREDO Diesel 4x4.
all i can say is im amazed that such a big car can easily get up to 100 km/h with no effort and get amazing fuel economy. this was the service managers car and had a few extras as well, didn't like the roof racks which i think are a cross between what the pld 4wders used to carry fuel and stuff on the roof and a boat. had only done 7500 k's and was averaging 10.2 and he tows go karts around. so we'll get a Diesel for sure.

Echuca Jeep !!!!
2013 Demo with 900km, towbar, mudflaps, black bonnet protector, front windows tinted and a full tank of diesel. November Compliance.
DO NOT GET THE WINDOWS TINTED FROM ECHUCA jeep, they guy they use is shit.
Hallam Jeep were going to come close on 2013 with cream interior(YUK).
I would wait another couple of months as they are going to start 2015 production run soon which means the 2014 build will be need to be run out, thats why I got the price I did as they were getting rid of the old stock.
