Watson Holden valet service - beware...

Ok he wasnt 19 he was 23 (and its HIS car not a test drive) he has had the car approx 5-6 months it was insured in his Mums name. He was being followed by an off duty copper in a SS and was doing approx 160 down Grimshaw Street...and lost is when a car in front went to make a turn..forcing him into the kerb and up onto the grass (this in turn as it is sloped) acted as a ramp...he then used the BMW as a trampoline and took out BMW, Vectra, Commodore and a Ford Ute..as well as serious damage to the Clubby. TMU arrived on the scene within a couple of minutes and he was taken away 15 minutes after the accident, they are going to throw the book at him...apparently he had been followed for a while and there are approx 5 witnesses also claiming to see him driving like a tool..... speeding heaps and weaving in and out of traffic....if would like to clarifiy the details please call WATSON Holden Bundoora on 9467 4677 and speak to the boys in service who are more than happy to discuss the matter...

Hmmm, be interesting to see if his insurance pays out, seeing as he was involved in an illegal activity (high speed chase) at the time of the "accident".

That guy is damn lucky that no one was killed or seriously injured, otherwise
he could certainly be doing some jail time :eek:

Thanks bloke for clarifying that. It can be safely said he is farked :booty: , well and truly. If he gets off without jail time then Im sure WATSONS will also sue him for damaes and loss of business. I wouldn't like to be him at the moment. Imagine the flaming he got from his mother! :eek:

This dealership is only a couple of 100m from my joint...heard the commotion of sirens etc about 5-5.30pm or so but sirens are a regular here. Then a mate dropped by to let me know of a pearler of a stack, went up later but most was gone by tow truck.

After seeing the nature strip you'de have to be doing 160km/hr to launch that far! Lucky there were no heads looking at the second handies in the lot.

Safe to say they are now "un-certified" used vehicles!

I very very very much doubt it. :)

Can't imagine many people would be happy to pay premiums to fund that sort of thing either, although it's bad news for innocent parties who had their property damaged and probably won't be able to recover it if the insurance doesn't pay up.

Hmmm. THis raises the sticky issue about police pursuits and the whether or not they should be called off when they become a hazard to the public.

To complicate matters even further, it is not clear whether the off duty police officer had lights & sirens going on his car - assuming it was a police car in the first place.

Just glad noone was hurt - even the young whipper snapper.

That was exactly my point.
People don't want to pay for this kind of thing in their insurance premiums, but SOMEONE will.

If the driver's insurance company doesn't foot the bill, then the dealer will have to claim on his policy, who will TRY to recover the money from the driver.

So, in the end, we all pay for this kind of thing.
Luckily no-one paid with their lives.
