Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
Jebus, That video made me harder than a jelly wrestling match between jenifer hawkin and delta goodrem.(yes, i have issues)
Then I thought I'd give it a try on my halfco 3 axis manual mill and I was going great until my hands got tired after 2 minutes.
Just wait for the v12 caddy engine (2 x v6's joined - sort of)
I really have to do some work now - if I spend all day watching CAM videos on youtube I'll be in the sh#t (but i'll pass the link on so every one else can get in the sh#t too.)
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
The Bugatti Veyron engine has no cover i think (like a bonnet) so that it can suck in that massive amount of air the Top Gear told us about  :burnout:
So you would have to some how put in the boot with major mods and them have no cover haha
This will never happen, maybe i'll go out and buy a Lambo V12 engine and dump it in my executive lol
:moon::doh::shock::diddy:

Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
You know, the Bugatti's pick up 130hp more with a good polish, sand blasting is the best method. The Quad turbo's push air harder than any sand blaster, so its better to just hold about 5000rpm and just slowly poor the sand into the air intake, but don't do more than 1Kg of sand per minute :1peek:

Carl I think you may have a good idea goes well with this thread :)
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
If you went with the Veyron engine - you wouldnt want it stock. I got some Milo tins you could use for an exhaust (send me a PM), that will help pump out the gases from all that air that you sucked in.
This is one of the funniest threads i have read in a long time! Great work

Careful mate it's school holidays, some retread might actually try this with Mum's VE.
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
Fair enough folks, i must be just full of shit then. Anyone wanting to insinuate that i'm the one doing the conversion don't bother as i'm not that wacky. This man has definently got connections and has a complete EB110 SS engine in his shed in peices never used. It very well could be the case he knows people at Bugatti. I think if he does this conversion it would have to be to ultimate VE on the road.

I like the term "retread" when referring to a person :)
Someone's an idiot if they want to put a 1001hp engine in a car that, as good as it may be, clearly isn't built for that much power, and expect it to be decent or reliable. or handle for that matter.
If the fellow has contacts at Bugatti how about he just buys a veyron? Or get a special edition made for himself?

i dont think it matters who you know, they arent going to just hand over a crate motor and say go for it......this is bugatti and VW we are talking about, they lose a lot of money on each car..... if he does it and it appears in some mags and stuff (which it would i will donate $500 to charity
hahah i think my money is very safe

Yes, If there was a veyron engine in a VE, then it would be the ultimate VE on the road. You are correct.
BUT where are you getting that anyone is insinuating that you are doing the conversion your self? It's pretty clear to me from reading the thread that absolutelly nobody at all thinks that you are doing this conversion yourself.
Now stop being so wacky.
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
Just from a mechanical point of view, people are talking about the chassis twisting and so forth, surly the VE chassis would be strong enough for it not to twist with the standard Bugatti'e engine in it. The other point i did not elude to in my original post was that the engineer beleives the engine is far from stressed. He says if he does the conversion he will be putting bigger turbo's on it and increasing to boost preasure. He thinks the engine internals/engine structure with these mods (not sure what turbo's he talking about) would be good for 1800+PS. So there you have it, 1800hp in a standard VE SS. Surly this is not possible. I have yet to ask him if there are chassis mods going to be done if he is for real.
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
Good movie on how the block is machined.
Had me worried for a while when i could only see 6 bores per side though
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
Just spoke to my albanian contact again, and he agrees about the turbo's. They're currently testing these bigger turbo's on mules in albania at the moment. Don't mistake my words though, they are actual mules that they've fitted the turbo's to. Those albanian's are so wacky!
Re: Bugatti Veyron engined VE SS
And lets not forget the petrol! Clarkson recons that with the foot full on the pedal in 12 minutes you need to refuel :spew:
