Thanks Ed. I had my dashcam running for all of it but unfortunately with my new one I discovered afterwards that I'd somehow accidentally muted it and without sound it's pretty boring.

My first attempt. :goodjob:
Nah, kidding. It was the first instructor just checking how my steering wheel knob was for control. :lmao:
Looks like you had a lot of fun
that would have been an awesome day Gary.:goodjob:
Yep, was good fun! I reckon a few hundred hours practice and I could be successful in drifting a corner in the wet once in a while. :D With so much power on tap I was either doing 360s or not even initiating a drift. :(
If he'd touched any knob other than my steering wheel one I think my brain would have suddenly remembered how to run unaided!! :lmao:
Yeah, loving the camera so far!! (See http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthre...9&#post2148169)
Almost invisible unless somebody looks hard for it yet can do 2304 x 1296 resolution, which was what that was shot at originally. However, my video editing software can only do 1920 x 1080 so it went through one conversion there and one conversion again in uploading to Vimeo.
It can also using the inbuilt player display your position etc on Google maps, as below.

Wonky AKA the cone killer?
Nah, only ran over one cone for the whole day AFAIK :p and even though I did a good job on it, next thing it was good as new. :)
Haven't done much to it for a while but on Cup Day a mate added some paddle shifters for me - absolutely love them now my disabilities mean I'm no longer allowed to drive a manual (bit of a comedown for someone who used to have a heavy truck/bus licence :bawl:).

Nice addition, mate. Seriously considering these for mine!
Mick
:goodjob: Gaz they look good
Had Ben (Maccas on here) give it one of his awesome Macca's OCD Details a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately it rained the day he did it so couldn't get any pics then as had to stay dry for 24 hours for the top coat to cure, so these were taken about 100km later with a very fine coat of dust. :( Big thanks to the original owner who took the pics for me.

Mick
Thanks Mick! [emoji106]
Looked & sounded so great the other Day Gaz so much that You made Me miss it. So Today I picked up a GENF 2 GTS, it's all your fault :lmao:
Showoff/rucky plick!!
those current wheels really suit it wonks
Just had some magic worked by the guys at APS. They replaced the stock valve springs and front blower belt about 6 months ago and I finally got around to getting it back in for thermal spacer under the blower and retune last week. While the blower was off they discovered the back belt was shagged so replaced it too. With all that done the standard fuel pump couldn't cope so a new (Harrop I believe) ZL1 fuel pump upgrade was done.
APS ' new dyno is even tougher than the one it ran 367rwkw on at our last dyno day, the day after it ran 391 on another. It has also run 385rwkw elsewhere. The guys at APS reckon the new one is 10 - 20 lower than the one it ran 367 on.
All good now with new fuel pump and hermal spacers - 385rwkw on a very safe tune by Luis the master. Picked up 35kw running 9.6 lb boost with now plenty of safe overhead to go higher, not that I will as that's plenty for me!
I'm sure it would go well over 400 on many other dynos. Going to get someone to run it at Calder for me before the end of the year.
Thermal spacers seem to do a great job as Luis said he thought the highest intake temp he saw on the log files was only 54C, very good for a HTV blower.
That's a very decent result Gaz! Bet your loving it
Sounds fantastic Gary,
I have heard quite a few people say that Luis is one of the best tuners around. :goodjob:
I bet it feels a lot better to drive now all the way through the range. :yup:
Now we're both retired there is certainly no giant stack of money. [emoji24] I do actually have a brand new Walkinshaw LS9 cam kit a mate put me onto at a good price so asked about installing that at the same time but too exxy. Will sell it now.
All in all I'm very happy with the car as is now.
Great stuff Gary
Hi Ed. Absolutely loving it but haven't had good chance to drive it in really dry conditions. Only generally use it a couple of times per week now we're retired and it's been raining or at least damp patches on the road, so not good for trying it out. [emoji4]
Yep. A mate with then similarly powered blown VF SSV ran low 11s at Calder on street tyres by playing with pressures. I'd expect low 12s on full pressure street tyres depending on how much traction it can get.
