Re: 2017 VFII Commodores Final Editions
That's just the SS in Son of a Gun. The Motorsport Edition will have the naff red trim all over the place...I read the mirrors can be done black but don't think the others can be

I would say the Director is Son of a Gun to give some indication but I don't think they've rolled them out to dealers for more pictures to be available yet?

New colours on Holden website now. Spitfire green is very loud. Son of a gun looks awesome with the red brembos for contrast

Re: 2017 VFII Commodores Final Editions
I expected a bit more from these final run out editions. Stripes and chrome don't really justify the premiums. In fact the stripes don't do it for me anyway. That said Ill have mine in red with the rear spoiler thanks. :-)

They also have MRC and uprated brakes.
Re: 2017 VFII Commodores Final Editions
I'm totally negative on these last 3 limited editions, they do Completely Nothing!!! for me.....
Sure they look good...
But..... Stickers, Trim tweaks, Suspension tweaks & (MRC only on sedan, FE3 only on ute ), Brake tweaks, some Forged Wheels, couple of extra Coolers, Commemorative Presention Case etc....
Woop Dee Doo.... Boring...
No engine performance upgrade what so ever....
They'll be total forgotten about in no time, just another VF.... nothing special about them at all IMO...
I'll keep waiting for the new Holden "V8 Sport Car" to be released once VF production is drawn to a close...
Re: 2017 VFII Commodores Final Editions
They may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they're selling like hotcakes (sounds like I'm trying to copy the honeybadger :hide:) They're different, limited and soon to be no more. If anyone wants the last part of Australian motoring history, then get in quick.

I was told over 12 months ago there would be no performance increases over the first My16 models. So yes brakes, colours & badging it is!

They will be ridiculously collectible but of course you will still bleed depreciation for about 15 years. Not going to be a good "investment" but they will be desirable.

Life is too short, Period.... To buy a car and put it on blocks and wait for it to Magically go up in value, and get "ZERO" Enjoyment Factor out of it, and not drive it... What's the Point...
15 years you say... Keep Dreaming............ HQ GTS Monaro Coupe's (253's / 308's) were still really cheap at 25 years old like only $6K to $8K, and didn't start to really go up in value till 30+ years old.
Now there pulling big numbers @ (43 to 46) years old....
"ridiculously collectible"..... That's just a Totally Hollow Subjective Opinion... Not a Fact......
It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it...
As I said, they sure looks good... But a VF with some added Fluff, and Standard Power Train (should be #1 priority in upgrade department, not added Fluff), Simply Isn't Enough IMO...
They don't tick any of my boxes...
People can spend "Their Money", however they wish...

sadly Holden has had a tradition of not changing the power of its V8 engines over time.

I thought it was more to do with the engines not meeting the new emissions in the higher output. Hence HSV were forced to go all LSA from October 31 2016.

Re: 2017 VFII Commodores Final Editions
from HSV, it's $170,000 .... packs 474 kW from the Corvette LS9.... 295 made. ALL SOLD OUT.
Read all about it in five hours.
