16s are more comfortable than 17s, right?

Tyre guy assures me for a performance tyre they have excellent durability. I went in there after Pirelli P7s which have a good rep for durability. The old tyres are off, I will give the rims a wash tonight and take them to the restorer people tomorrow and get a definite quote (they need to see them, of course) - I'll settler on a course of action then

I might just clean up two of the rims myself - paint stripper, 1200 W&D, re-clear coat - the other two look presentable and not really too bad as they are.

I will put the old tyres on gumtree for 100 for the 4 (235/45/17 - 70 per cent tread left) which - if I restore those two rims myself - would pay for the stripper, clear coat sandpaper and the iced coffees I drink while I do it

I need to keep reminding myself that these whells will spend 97.5 per cent of their tiome going 120kmh in a straight line

considering all I needed to do was replace two 16" tires - you could argue (as my wife will if she ever notices) that Ive just blown a heap of money unnecessarily

I will make it all worthwhile by fitting those bigger SS brakes up front a bit further down the track

As you get more experience at spending money on cars (I'm an expert) you will not see spending money on a car as being unnecessary.
I'm don't think my wife has ever complained about the money I have spent on cars. Perhaps she sees it as a waste of time.
The only time I consider money wasted is when my money has been the right colour and the standard of work performed has not.
Unfortunately that has happened too often, especially on my vh.

I spend my money on women and cars the rest I waste!
