Re: Another Holden in the Family :)
I just spoke to him, his name is Will Hadler
He said if you take it to him he will do it for $130 if you just want the standard grey colour
His phone number is 0407617209
He is expecting your call, if he can't answer his phone he will call you back.

Re: Another Holden in the Family :)
To be clear for $130 he wil remove, recover & replace the it,
you do not need to take it out yourself.

Thanks Ed. Good news this morning as well, the Aircon just needed a regas and is now ice cold. The compressor is fine which would have been $900 if faulty.
Re: Another Holden in the Family :)
That is great Rod,
whilst getting an unknown car gassed you can often come across some expensive problems.

Exactly what the aircon guy said Ed. Also reiterated what most of us know, dont ever turn the A/C off, does more harm than good, just use heater to modulate temp.
Re: Another Holden in the Family :)
Also forgot to mention, centre bearing on tailshaft was shagged (rubber bush all perished and collapsed), ordered a brand new genuine one complete with rubber bush for $49. Complete PCV hose was $115. Slowly getting there. Also, question for A4 experts, are these serviceable like the A6? ie New filter and trans pan gasket?
Edit...A quick google search answered my own question. I assume the below kit would be ok quality wise?
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Auto-Tra...4AAOSwOVtfDKwz
Or Genuine for $69

Yes Mick, will be the daily for a while, at least whilst I am still working. It sure is nice to drive, a lot better than I thought an 18 year old ute would be :)
