I remember the guy that mounted the gutter and launched on top of the cars across from the Bundoora shops, into the footy ground carpark. Could'nt have been the same guy.. I wonder.

As for the Beema, I was actually thinking of getting that for the boss (wife). guess thats why they called and said it had gone... hehe

That's a fair effort :confused:

I'm glad that I managed to do my test driving before this incident. Holden handed me the keys to a SS, SV8, SV6 and a Crewman.. But I passed on the Crewman.

Ford also let me test drive a GT, a XR8, a XR6-T and a Fairlane G220.

Mazda let me drive the RX8 and Nissan had no issues with the 350Z.

Subaru were the only problem, refusing to let me drive a liberty, nor demo the vehicle for me.

All though I guess my circumstances were slightly different to your average 18 year old.

Unrelated, but did anyone in Brisbane see the accident on Ann St yesterday around 3pm? 4WD completely took out a light pole at the northern end of Central station and was on its side with its guts facing the traffic and a sedan had its front end smashed in. Fire engines and the rest were there. It looked like either the sedan ran the red on Creek St or the 4WD was speeding (or went through a red) and it swerved to avoid a collision from the left side (Creek St), the sedan made contact, and the 4WD hit the light pole (Ann St) and flipped. I've seen a 180SX written off hitting a light pole and it left behind a dent... this 4WD completely uprooted and knocked out the pole. It looked pretty bad when I drove past. Dom, i can give you the full story on that 4wd, its a rental car that was hired by 2 yanks, the one driving sneezed he reckons and by the time he opened his eyes he was through the intersection. The funny thing is he wasnt a registered driver of the car and now owns that 4wd, the car that hit him and has to pay for the police ambo's etc has he doesnt have any insurance! :eek:

Thanks for that Luke. Sunday afternoon, a block away from Adelaide & Edward St, I knew somebody had to know something and it's not every day you see a car on its side in the city so a lot of people were gathered around. I drove past last night and a little orange witches hat now marks the spot. Those light poles are a decent size and would surely need a severe belting to hit the deck. Do you know if anyone was injured?

Yes the driver (not his mum) is up for the damages for all the cars and property he damaged. He will be in alot of debt!

:lol: Thats why holden & hsv must have canned brockys polarizer. The young bloke must have had one fitted on the sly , and when u hit the button it just kicks in too hard.
