It has been 6 weeks since I ordered and I finally got it!
It is amazing even stock, sounds great at anything beyond 3000rpm. Makes me feel like a hoon in fact even when driving normally.
You always know that you have 6 litres of V8 fury under the hood, ALWAYS!
Otherwise, very very smooth and solid ride on the freeway and the interior is actually a nice place to be. Good job Holden !
9 times out of 10 a test drive of a V8 usually helps people make their mind up.
Congrats on the SS. Now it gets even more interesting when you start thinking about how long until you start modding it? :driving:
While not Holden, this thread suggest TR6060 has been fitted to HSV from September 2008 MY09

I'm sure Holden have been using the LS7 clutch for at least one year, probably a fair bit longer, ever since the pedal box problem arose.
I would get a ss. When your already spending nearly 40k what's a couple grand. The six is nothing on the v8.
But the best thing like others said buy 2 years old. Then resale loss is minimal.

Like this - 2 years old 20,000Km $28,000 VE SS seems like good value http://www.carsales.com.au/private/d...&cr=2&__N=1246 1247 1252 1282 4294965857 4294965745 1216&silo=Stock&find=ve ss ivy|CarAll
