Yea haha coolent was being topped up at the time of the photo.
Looks nice mate. Any update on before/after power levels?
Not yet but it should be ready tomorrow morning I did hear it today though its bloody loud but it was inside it sounded pretty aggressive V8 sound. Ill get a vid tomorrow as a mate and I are picking it up and driving from Canberra to Sydney. Ive been really tempted by the bigger engines either LS7 427 or bigger lsx but im thinking now im probably better going for the supercharger my mate reckons the exhaust is awesome for forced induction! But its also easier less cost overall then going for the big motor build.
I remember seeing on another forum some one had an LSX 454 crate motor for sale for about 12k if I could get one for that id be interested in getting some higgins heads on it with light weight del west titanium intake and suitable exhaust valves so it can go to about 7200 or 7500rpm with a suitable hydraulic roller cam and possibly harrop 8 throttle body inlet.
It made 260kw at the wheels not to much really but it feels like it made a bit more then that. It revs a lot faster and swings around to 6000rpm pretty quick. The biggest surprise is the 3inch Difillipo exhaust bloody awesome as it doesnt drone at all and sounds similar to V8 supercars main difference with those cars is the 7500rpm limit so this one only revving in the 4 to 6k rev range doesnt have the same urgency as one at 7000rpm plus but its a great sound. It really barks when your giving it and has a deep growl but when your just cruising its quite and with the more insulated cabin in the VF series its almost like stock. You definitely get noticed though if you give it some and it will easily attract the cops if in town but only if you get up it so im pretty happy with it.
As long as ur happy that's the key... 260 - 265 is that about standard exhaust cold air tune these days .. I Cant remember.. I think my 07 Maloo R8 was about that RWKW...
Yea im happy with it for now but supercharger will be better for the street. Main reason is normally aspirated when you go for more power its higher up in the rev range even now 6000rpm limit in mine is to low it races around to it quickly. With heads and cam ill have to increase revs to about 7500 I reckon and when your doing that your way over the speed limit quickly in 2nd gear and loud. Where as supercharger you can punch out of corners at lower rpms.

Interesting result. The only comparable bolt-on figure I have seen is GMM 259rwkw from just a Ramjet and tune on a M6 VF SSV - maybe a happier dyno (Mainline)?
Any who as we know they are just results on the day.
The true trac diff is good but i havnt really put it through its passes properly but the big difference is the back end feels flat like its working as one when hard on it in a corner the grip levels a up quit a bit higher then before. Before with the stock lsd it sort of squirms about this just seems to grip and stays stable wheel spin starts but you can feel it transferring over and it just grips. But it needs suspension now as you can feel the stock stuff is a bit soft like it needs to be tighter all around
Ok spoke to them again today - seems aftermarket short stroke shocks are not available as yet and they didn't have any idea on when they would be.
They did say the lowest you could safely go without short stroke shocks is 375mm htg which is 25 lower at front and 35 lower than rear at present.
Decisions decisions...
I got a gopro 3+ black addition and took this video at 720p on the dash. Doesn't really give an idea of the note to much Ill have to do one outside pretty happy with the camera though really high quality stuff for such a tiny device.

What did the go pro set you back? I'm looking for such a device at the moment.
Sounds nice too mate. A very nice place to be I would imagine :)
Here is one from the outside. Closed road and no wombats dolphins penguins or small children where harmed in the making of this video.
