Personally I'd rather take info from a text book put together by professionals over many years then a newly purchased computer program !! Nothing will ever match REAL WORLD r&d over being a guinea pig for software !!

Well Troy,
I would rather my cam choices come from people who actually do the R&D and have test proven their cams in all different applications, rather than take it from a text book. Personal experience beats text books any day.
I have said that earlier that the cam is coming from a company that does R&D, it hasn't come from a computer software program, it has come from countless tests and inprovements.
Well now i'll just sit back & wait for the results !! Hopefully you achieve your goal ..

Lol! Of course you could have....
If I had a lack of mechanical sympathy for my car, it would shit in an 11.
For some people though it's not all about timeslips.
I am more than happy with my car and tuner. It's laughable to me that anyone thinks I give a shit when they have a dig at it....
It is perfect to what I wanted, and my tuner fitted that spec perfectly.
I think the threads a little lost here, but if someone jumps on and tells a story about there combo on a forum someone will have an opinion, right or wrong. All I can say is, you are building a big dollar combo. I am currently in the process too. Its not a matter of a guessing game, of course if you get it half close it will make half decent power. But with some experience or listening to ppl with it, you can make more power and tq and be more reliable for the same cost. If you put your cam specs up ls1tech guys may love u but on speedtalk where the guru's are like Joe Sherman etc they would bluntly shoot it down. Going to a wider lobe sep you would need to run more comp and I mean like +1.0 more to make it work even on pump fuel. an 11:1 motor with a big wide lobe sep hyd roller will run on 91. I think you can see my picture. Just a matter of finding the person who knows how to set it up so you make the power you want. Otherwise a little 346 will chew you. I seen one at powerplay this year, a 454 sounded tough as hell blew the tyres off with a big pk tq number then the curve fell off and it fell flat on its face. At this stage a well setup 346 will be 6 car lengths ahead. I shake my head everytime someone says make it 11:1 wide lsa, and a set of heads, your just wasting money IMO.
This thread will end up the same as the one for O.N's car. So much shit talking it gets canned.
I hope the people who think they know better than what Dazza has asked his tuner to get out if his car STFU and wait for the result. Instead of making out like they know what he wants and what has been discussed, just because they dont like the tuner...
My engine is running about 11.5:1 comp, it has been uped from the stock, due to shaved heads, approx 40thou,
Heads ported and shaved by higgins. The cam that is in, will be fully tuned and dynoed, hopefully by the 6/7, then I will have a figure for you, and photo's, the other cam wont be going in until approx August, then will start the process of tuning then the dyno to see the difference.
So if you can wait 3 weeks, you will have a good idea of what the cam that is in, is capable of. Then it will be another wait to see what the other cam is capable of.
you will be partly to blame for this if it does, all your doing is provoking VYSHSV8 with you stupid one liners aimed at him:goodjob:.
And dazz good luck with your quest and i hope you do find what your after, its a never ending thing once you start. Im sure if your tuner knows what he is doing he will have it all sorted for you in no time once your new tb blade gets here.
Good luck with it and please post up with how you go:).
Well done mate u have spent more than most would on a house deposit on a motor that has made the power happy/ or not 400+na is good work.
I have a 11.8:1 comp l76 with a 252/252 630/630 110lsa and well out performed a slightly smaller 112lsa i had in it by far, drivability definatly less enjoyable if you are fussy, but power and rpm was much different and for the better i say. It did take a while to sort tune out to be drivable but it can be done. And is actually a good thing to drive except in 6th at 100kmh.
Good luck mate already done well have fun..
Thanks mate for the comments, it will be sorted soon, will continue updates when I get back from work in a couple of weeks. It has changed a lot from what it was, and will continue to get better, with the TB changed, it will be a lot easier.
I like driving it, and the whole point in tuning this one properly first, is to see what it is capable of, if it is really good, and I am enjoying it, then I just may keep it in, and keep the other cam for another time. I am happy with the build, it is just the tune that needs to be better, but we are getting there. With the cam, I have noticed that it does need the revs, it does not like low revs, and does hunt a bit, but we will continue to tune it, there is no rush to put the other cam in, it is a suggestion, and I had other stuff coming from the states, so thought why not the cam too.
From what I was told my compression is about 11.5:1, but it could be as high as 11.7 depending on the head gasket used.
Ha ha ha, that will probably happen, as when I am home I don't want to get out of it, so taking it off the road for a day to change cams could be something I will not like too much, but we will see what this cam is capable off, and go from there, thanks for the positive comments
Good to see ya gonna try the cam and see if the tuner can tune it for you....
Also the people who put the engine together cant tell you the comp ratio ?????? or what thickness headgasket...thta doesn't sound right, I would be asking and chasing it up
