Only 90kg? hmm
I haven't seen Wonky for a coffee and chat since he's had the Senator.
We caught up yesterday for a few hours and as he was leaving, he asked for a hand to get his seat belt to latch.
He reckons it had been playing up lately. Nothing wrong with it, .. he's that fat that he couldn't find the buckle :)
Gazza :lmao:
Mick, he reckons it was his shirt that was a bit fluffier than usual :)
:lmao: Actually, I'm exactly 88kg on professional medical scales. :p
I think the seatbelt problem is occasionally I end up in such a position, especially like yesterday when the car is on a slope, that I end up too close to the buckle and my wrist which no longer has much flexibility ends up trying to push it in from the wrong angle. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking with it! :lmao:)
That would help keep it flexible John! :p
So Gaz got a reach around?
Nah. Phil went to the passenger seat to do it. 😊
Having had a reasonable sound upgrade in the ute (nothing over the top - decent front splits, subwoofer behind the passenger seat and decent amp) I had found the sound system in the Senator to be lacking any real depth. Sounded great when you were parked and didn't have to turn it up loud, even had good bass standing still because my father-in-law heard it like that (he is an excellent keyboard player) and wondered why the hell I wanted to upgrade! :)
However, at cruising speed it all sounded a bit wishy washy with no real definition above road noise, exhaust noise, wind noise etc.. Had I not upgraded the ute's sound system I probably would have persevered longer, but last weekend had an upgrade performed. Again, nothing over the top, front splits (Mike had already upgraded rear speakers for his kids with DVDs), 10" subwoofer in box in boot, quality 6 channel amp, all installed by a guy who really knows his stuff and aims for the best result possible. All up around $1,100 inc installation but the difference is amazing!! :goodjob:
Originally he removed the rear shelf speakers to let the subby in the boot "breathe" into the cabin but that let the shelf rattle and vibrate so they went back in. That's now a future job - remove them and add lots of sound deadening. :)
Results: I'm rapt!! Clarity, depth and volume when travelling now!!
Gotta have a decent system in a Senator!
Pic from Driver Dynamics' Beginner's Drifting Course AKA Skid Control Day I did on Saturday at Sandown Raceway. We moved all around the track trying different things on most corners. Great fun!! :burnout:
