VF GTS Wagon

Thanx Guys........

Please accept my apologies for all the photos going away.... Photobucket where I have hosted my photos for years have now decided to charge $400USD a year for 3rd party hosting........

and they can get stuffed........ Considering what streaming services charge for what they provide this is extortion.

I', hoping I can get access to the forum and move the photo to some other host and get it redirected..... Will see ho we go.

Is sidewinder still the admin or if a mod could message me about sorting this that would be great.....

Chad you can directly upload your pics to the board without host.

I was using photobucket for cloud backup of images. I have stopped doing that as I use onedrive now.

It was just easy to copy the links and use them.....

Oh Well we should be able to resolve this with a mods assistance.

Photobucket is dead to me know ... FFS 40USD a month you can get an entire virtual server for less...... Ridiculous

Sidey is still the Admin (although not here often)

re the pics, I hear ya... PB pissed me off big time , got an email
no more linking unless you pay USD$49.99 PER MONTH (USD $600 a year ! )
so
I grabbed all my files from the PB site (they d/load as a zip) and closed my account
Phark 'em.... they will get nothing from me!

currently looking at Flickr and a few other free hosting sites .. to load them up

Imgur is free. Flickr is yahoo. Wouldn't touch a yahoo/Verizon product. Likely to have it happen again.

still checking the fine print on a number of free sites (lots say they are free... there are catches though!)

Thanx to the mods for fixing the images due to Photobucket screwing them up.

I'm glad you found a solution to the photo hosting, it would be a shame to loose such an amazing thread.

Didn't end up selling it. Too many tyre kickers who just didnt have the cash.

still have the Sat nav etc?
and what is with the CAM button?

Satnav is built in to the alpine.. You can also use your phone nav

The cam button allows you to see the rearview cam when driving forward.

Great. It's like a factory car...

Changed the rear wing to one from Mr Bodykits to remove the modified Holden aero deflector. It is plastic not fibreglass so its actually smooth. It is also smaller than the other options which i like.

I did have an issue with the throttle body tps sensor. Replacing it resolved the issue and made it a little smoother to drive. I will eventually get around to pulling the other throttle body apart and rebuilding it but when you have spare its just easier to replace it. When I need it for the other lsa I'll fix it.

Absolutely astounding effort dude, you have created probably the greatest Australian car, the literal pinnacle of engine/body in Australia in my humble opinion. Everything about it, chefs kiss.

I guess the only thing that could top that, would be to transplant the GTS W1 in the VF2 Tourer body.

May I ask if you ever considered running it as a manual and if so, what would have been involved?

Also, if you ever consider selling it into the future (couple of years from now, add me. The stars might align and I might be in a position to buy it.)

Out of interest, how much were you asking for it last time?
