Maybe sales of manual wagons in VE have swayed them not to produce them in VF ?
Re: VF Commodore revealed - Official details and pics- Part 2
i cant imagine it would be that difficult to build them to order? seems funny to not even be an option

Would I be able to get a V series without a sunroof?

:( I give this news three thumbs down. Really, I don't understand why Holden does things like this - they offered it in the old model so it's not like the hardware isn't there. This sort of stuff goes on at Holden all the time it seems - no V8 options on lower spec models anymore, no manual option, can only option FE2 on some models and not others etc. I get that it reduces the complexity of production by doing away with variants that not many people order, but a few lost sales here, and few lost sales there....

Maybe. But there are currently 85 manual VE wagons for sale on carsales, so there must be many more than that in peoples' garages. Surely enough to be a viable market?

Why are people jumping to the conclusion that there is no manual in the Sports wagon? I have seen no actual evidence saying this so maybe stop jumping to conclusions and wait for the official word.

Because there have been a number of price lists posted that show prices for every possible model and transmission combination, none of which show any manual wagons.

Well after trawling through nearly every VF article i found this part:
"The SS and SS V badges are also spread across sedan, wagon and ute. SS manuals are priced from $38,990 for the ute, or $41,990 for the sedan (the latter a $5800 cut from the old SS). The SS Sportwagon is auto only and costs $46,190 before on-roads."
Looks like the assumptions may be correct, seems bloody strange to me.
