Should be some more pics after the weekend but surely it is time for some more colours to be posted up? I was looking through my store of pics to see if there was anything I hadn't posted and saw the under car pics I took so XUV thanks again for the video, I was starting to think someone had got too excited around my GTS but it turns out to be data dots!

I still love the W427 wheels.
The rear wheels on the gts look huge in comparison.
Are Camaro brakes interchangeable with VF brakes? The Camaro thread going at the moment features the new Z/28 which has a carbon ceramic brake package. That would be a nice upgrade for the GTS.
Cheers, Matthew
You are really very good at that. I agree. The W427 wheels would look good on the GTS.
No, fantastic photoshoping... I'ts great to help visualize different things, like you've done previously with spoilers and stuff. Great work! Only wish I could do it...
I have a complete W427 wheel and tyre (front - spare) from my written off W427. The insurer let me take it for the replacement car... After my shit trade in, I didn't feel inclined to put it in the boot when I did the change-over to the GTS. I'll eventually sell it, I guess, although I'd have no idea what it's worth. And you're right, it is bloody heavy...
Not sure if the request for more GTS pics included more of my white one but anyway here are a couple I took today on the farm.

Being on the farm gave me a chance for a little more experimentation. Put the transmission into "Sport" with the EDI in "Sports" and did a 0 - 100 sprint. I was surprised that there was quite a bit of wheel spin right through 1st gear on dry coarse bitumen. Definitely doesn't do that in normal Drive. Since it was only timed with a phone stop watch to 100 on the speedometer, which I suspect of being wildly optimistic, the time isn't relevant though it was a little faster than the HSV claim. More reason to doubt the speedometer accuracy. Need to put a separate GPS in the car and do a comparison. The other thing I did was use torque vectoring on a well-known corner. Relax it is a private road so no grannies were hurt in testing (she was on the other farm). After a couple of goes and more confidence the rear end pushes the front around the corner. Not hint of understeer at all once the power is on. And the cornering speed was quite a bit higher than without torque vectoring. It works! Seen some nice numbers on the g meter too.
If I ever get mine, I will be too embarrassed to post photos, I only have my wife's dodgy digital or my video.... don't expect anything like the quality above :).... looks great
Yeah might get the " last of the V8's" :) :)
Nah it's looking good for this week, then the 3M invisible bra, paint protection and tint and I will be a happy man
shirly if u can afford a GTS you should be able to treat yourself to a 14 megapixel digi ;)
( maybe HSV could do that as an optional extra , a colour coded HSV embossed camera in glovebox optional extra )
plus cameras are cheap as, now that phone cameras are the staple ......
^ yeah I know, I am just slack when it comes to photos :)
I will see what the camera is like on the iPhoneS on Monday when it turns up, then might have a think on it
Hey mate, slightly off topic; but I notice you're in Canberra and was wondering where you're getting your 3M wrap, and paint protection done?? I've just ordered a brand new FPV GT, and as much as I wanted a GTS I couldn't resist the deal and price I got on a new GT. part of me wanted one of the last FPVs, that I will make a keeper, and then hopefully I'll pick up a GTS in a few years time.
Looking forward to seeing a few GTS's on the road in Canberra!!
autografika in Mitchell for the 3M (talk to craig) not cheap, about double a normal car bra but I figure over the life of the car it's not too bad.
injekted in Mitchell for the the paint protection and tint ( he does a lot of the car yards but about half the price dealing direct)
I will get bagged, but I like the GT, what colour did you choose, sorry for the off topic, but it's a quiet night
it's here :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:
Pick up 1.00 Wed... :dance::driving::driving:
3M Thu / Fri
Tint, Paint, interior Tue
:woot:
ran out smilies!!
Nope, cant even get in to pay it a visit, as working.... I would probably have an embarrassing accident at the car yard if I went and checked it out anyway
To be honest I didnt even think to ask.... but I assume it would be in the to hard basket...
Now after 4 days and 450 kms, all I can really say that this is a unbelievably good piece of kit. Fast, tick, handles, tick, beautiful to drive, tick, full of technology, tick.
From drivers seat it has an incredible feeling of being powerful. The power is extremely linear, even small throttle percentage gets you motoring. Thank goodness for the HUD and having speedo right in your face., car feels like it is going a lot slower than it is. 100km feels like walking pace (you know when you been driving on a highway and slow for town).
Ride is firm, more so than any E63 I have driven, it is not rough though and I quite like the ultra solid feel. The difference in ride between settings is noticeable and so is increase in exhaust note.
Everything so far seems to work beautifully, air con (lot quieter than VE) & sound system are very good.
Reaction by others has been very positive.
I suppose bottom line is, that there is no other 4 door in the world I would prefer over this, job well done Holden & HSV.
As an aside, I came across a new E63 AMG in traffic in Brisbane yesterday, dark grey. Looked good, if a little understated, but geez did it sound good!
I don't know how AMG get it to sound so good with two turbos chopping up the sound waves in the exhaust but they have done a great job.
ok cool, i have dealt with Vince before through a work colleague who knows him well. Do you know what paint protection you're getting? I'm thinking of having mine done in melbourne when i pick the car up..
I opted for white with black stripes, manual and leather. Was very tempted by the Mars Red which is an orange/red, but stuck with my gut choice!
Yeah will do mate. A lot of talk on fordforums that next year is it for FPV/GT... perhaps an XR8 only, but who really knows? I was planning on waiting it out till next year to see, but would have been spewing if they didn't make them anymore and i missed out on a new one. I'll probably be a little dissappointed if they do make them until 2016, but i suppose the FG GT will possibly be the last of the no nonsense FPV muscle cars. It's a little bland, and a little raw but i think i like that... It'll be a big difference from the caprice, so i hope i don't miss my luxuries too much!!
A few R-Specs for sale last time i checked, but they must be close to being sold now...
Apologies for off topic lads!
GTS LSA - i'm excited for ya for wednesday mate! Enjoy the beast! I'll keep an eye out for you, and when i do have the GT, i'll keep clear haha
Nice cars those GTs best sounding stock motor by far I reckon. My only issues with those is the chassis and small rear tyres. Got a mate whos thinking of upgrading his BA GT for one.
Does anyone know the story behind this?

What is the point of that video ???
