Heathcote - Private Drag Day November 24th

Hi guys,

Im trying to organise a private drag day at Heathcote on the 24th November. I can have a max of 25 cars and currently have 14 solid participants. I need to know im going to have the numbers by the end of July or else i wont bother running with it. The day will run from 11am-4pm and we may do skidpan for the last hour.

Its $160 for the day and that will get you alot of track time given the low number of entrants. Pm me if you're interested and i can answer any questions you may have.

I'd possibly be interested, as would a few others I know, but unfortunately that's the weekend after a number of us are going up to Temora for the Temora 1000 which is quite an expensive weekend with petrol up and back, accommodation and entry fee. :(

I'd be interested. Can multiple drivers participate in the one car? My wife would be interested as well.

Never done it before so I'm sure I'll make a dick of myself and do the slowest time possible :p

Do you need anything to participate? Helmet, special licence etc ?

Yeah id say multiple drivers can drive one car. There are a few others coming along who are planning on doing that. No special licence required and you'll need a helmet.

Can you rent a helmet there? Or do I need to find one elsewhere? Any restrictions on what type of helmet?

I dont think you can rent a helmet there. Just a normal helmet will do, doesnt have to be any particular type. Ill pm you my bank details now mate

That doesn't matter in the least, even at a normal meet when lots of experienced guys run. Everybody has to start somewhere and every drag day there will be people having their first run - nobody even notices as they're all too busy working on their own stuff. :)

Thanks Andy but what I meant is I'd normally be interested but won't be able to afford after all the expenses involved in Temora. That's run under CAMS auspices so as well as petrol up there and back (1200+km round trip), similar entry fee, accommodation for 2 nights for my wife and I, also required are tow points, fire extinguishers etc.. All adds up........ :(

If you pay for it now you'll only have to worry about petrol on the day and then it wont seem as much ;)

I'd love to go but I can't guarantee that I will be in VIC at the time...if there is still a spot or someone pulls out close to the date and I'm home, then I'm in mate..otherwise I'll miss out obviously

Had someone pull out so i still have 2 spots if anyones interested.
