I don't know the chap other than the 1 phone call but who really cares his history and being banned on here, he is selling a near 20k engine for 10k and he is either breaking even after fixing costs or coming out ahead. Spoke with Sam the owner of the shop West End.
Said they replaced the bearings, new head, all new valves, 2 new pistons, 2 sleeves the bores only had a tiny finger nail nick but sleeved it anyway.
Brad works or worked at another shop and sends bigger jobs to them to get done so brad has nothing to do with this engine anymore, was a simple (stupid) over look forgot to instal lash caps and caused the failure.
The thing is in perfect working order, heads are not on so people can see what works has been done, engine dyno is available once the thing is put back together.
If im free later this week im going to drive on over and have a look. it sounds like a very good deal.
