Whoa! You can see what looks like the edge of a display ramp/stand in one of the photo's ..... maybe someone was putting the car up on the ramp and their foot slipped off the clutch.... hopefully noone was checking out that BMW at the time!

First year checking out an LSD complaint? :D

any test welcome--------------
-
looks like it hit the wall at speed (sideways) , launched off the BMW and landed sideways between the cars.
not a good look at all.
-
far out thats some serious damage!!!!!!!!!!
-
Given that the front fence is smashed, I'd say someone was giving the Clubbie a bit of a fang and lost control BIG TIME.
My guess is that they were travelling East down Grimshaw St and tried turning into the side street leading into Watson's.
Tried taking the turn at speed and ended up smashing through the front fence. There isn't much damage to the front, so I'd say it got airborn when it hit the lower portion of the fence, smashing high on the BMW's bonnet and ended up & resting on top of the Vectra and Commodore.
Hope no-one was hurt.
-
I thought shti like that only happened in America...

Would of had to be carrying alot of speed to pull that off.
That said, I agree with your hypothesis.
Someone is in ALOT of trouble. I can't imagine the sick feeling they would of had in the gut after that.
-
Shoot I was driving past today and wondered wht there gates were not up it's because they no longer function...
-
To quote my favourite saying in Battlestar Galactica :
FRACK ME !!!
-
Would that be the manager standing between the camera and the rego plate?? :(
-
i'm disappointed
no one has said
That'll buff right out
-
At least they have low k's.....TIC
-
The poster on the BMW windows says "Watson Holden Certified Vehicles"
I never like the those guys anyway, and after seing what condition they're certified vehicles are in, I will never get a car from there.
Cheers.
-
uhm there's a cheap CLUBSPORT at WATSONS
-
The service department checked it out and found it to be normal.
Or then again maybe the owner got sick of the service department BS and decided they can have the car back. Something Ive been tempted to do many times.
-
and the poor bloke has probably gone off and purchased another make of car because the clubby just doesn't handle.. ;)
-
Hmmmm thats where i brought My Red VYII Clubby from  but I brought it july last year

On Channel 7 news Friday, 11 Feb there was a brief story with footage - said that a 19yr old male was having a test drive... :errr:
-
Service Manager says: "Sir, there is nothing wrong with your brakes, and the steering is just fine" :bash:
Imagine the sh1t that guy is going to be in! Imagine the insurance premiums next year!
-
-
How did you get those pics Kirium, you take them yourself?
-
oh my god ......i can't ...........i was crying for the clubbie.............like my one b4
-
It fits!!!, dam thing fits, and the manager thought there were no more parking spaces???
-
Looking closely at the side of the BMW it seemed to launch right off it.
Any news if it was it a prospective buyer or Waston's themselves who pulled the swift move?
-
Same car, different wheels??

Thats funny. :)
I feel sorry for the poor people that are going to end up buying the non-written of cars.
This accident does make for a interesting question, are we insured by the dealer on test drives or will the person have to fork out the cash?
-
What the...? In the first couple of photos it looked like the Clubby slipped off a ramp until you see the rest of the photos with the BMW damage, fence included. How fast was that thing going?
Unrelated, but did anyone in Brisbane see the accident on Ann St yesterday around 3pm? 4WD completely took out a light pole at the northern end of Central station and was on its side with its guts facing the traffic and a sedan had its front end smashed in. Fire engines and the rest were there. It looked like either the sedan ran the red on Creek St or the 4WD was speeding (or went through a red) and it swerved to avoid a collision from the left side (Creek St), the sedan made contact, and the 4WD hit the light pole (Ann St) and flipped. I've seen a 180SX written off hitting a light pole and it left behind a dent... this 4WD completely uprooted and knocked out the pole. It looked pretty bad when I drove past. Hopefully nobody was seriously injured.

...and some people whinge when they're not offered a test drive within seconds of kicking some tyres...

Looks like aviation licences are to be required from now on. :p
-
Doesn't it seem a little weird that a dealer would let a 19 year old (who as it turns out, couldn't drive for shit) take a car like that for a test drive.
What did he say................"Excuse me, I've been doing a LOT of overtime at Maccas so I've decided to buy a Clubsport instead of a Gemini!"
I just hope the 19yo complained at the conclusion of the test drive that the drivers door was very hard to open, and that the general panel fit and paint finish of the car was substandard....... ;) ;)
-
"A test drive you say? Certainly Sir! Just need to see your license...... OK, name is Kineval, Mr Evil Kineval. OK then low long a test drive are we talking? About 200 feet you say?"

Ya wouldn't want 'em. In one of the photos it looks like there's a chunk missing from the front left.
-
Even Worse for that 19yo. As is in Vic that car is on the restricted vehicle list with VicRoads So he should have never even be driving it. So hmmm hope the Dealers insurance pay's out other wise that could have been a very farken expensive test drive
