    Re: EJ Yoot

I used to hate the EJ as a model because they had that useless gray 138 cubic inch boat anchor in the front of them.
It seems you have fixed the problem with this one more than adequately.

Beautiful work mate, it looks fantastic & very tastefully done!

As posted above by frenchfry ..... more pictures & details please!!!

    "LS ALL the things"

I agree with White, I grew up working on the Grey Turds and have a strong dislike for them and always preferred the EH for that reason, always found it a bit odd EJ and EH Ute's shared the same taillights as most early utes used the previous years...

    Beautiful car well done!

    Thanks for positive comments.
The engineer I used was Tim Bartrop (Dr Tim on FB) you hear horror stories re engineering but I couldn't recommend Tim highly enough. Very thorough but very professional and great to deal with.
The yoot is fully regoed in Qld under the new National Code of Practice with no fewer than 10 mods. LA1 LB1 LB2 LG1 LG2 LK1 LK2 LM1 LS3 LS4.
All documentation in the glove box for if/when Mr Plod decides to have a look!!

Haven't decided whether to dress up the bay with engine covers or not. It's a driver ,not a show car , so will probably leave it as it is.

FBW module fitted neatly in behind the kick panel.

Lokar shifter is functional and looks the part. Thought of ratchet shifter for the strip, but its just going to be select 'D' for drag, point and shoot, so no need really. lol.

Mini mini tubs only gain about 25mm to the rail but allow for 265 street tyres and 255x15 MT street radials for 1/4 duties.

    15" steelies verses mags

Had the trimmer modify the back of the Mazda bucket seat to get as much driving room as possible for my 185cm frame, without cutting the rear cabin wall!

    Re: EJ Yoot

    L'il LS1 EJ yoot just ran a best of 12.2 sec./ 113mph / 1.9sec 60'

So should run a high 11 with a bit of tweaking.

Changing out the 3.5 diff gears for 3.9's first of all. Then 3000rpm stall converter later on.

Who's the go to for converters for the 4L60? Was thinking maybe Dominator or TCE.
