Awesome thread....lots of valuable info here.
I do stress however that I have no problem with the guys doing my work, they are busy busy people and I can imagine building an engine that I have supplied the parts for would not be the most profitable thing. I have come to far and have spent to much to not follow through and have a 140mph timeslip. I guess that will prove if the car is the sum of its parts or a sum gone wrong. It still remains to be seen if I can actually drive and if I can do it in a manual. The last fast car I drove was a VL with a "healthy" RB25 GT35/40 combo. It loved to get frisky at the deep end of the track I am hoping the commodore is the same.

howdy Racky, send us a PM through here if you like. Anything done by SQP and MWS is going to be a winner.
Duke,
Looks like u've done quite a bit of homework with this build .
Can't wait to see pics and some footage.
cheers,
Gav
Ok little bit of an update. Engine is now in Melbourne @ NJC for some love and attention after sitting still for 18ish months. Time to get this baby on the road.
I am hoping to sneak into a 10 on full street rubber before going for the cage dedicated race car approach. Some gaurd massaging/Gforce Shock kit combined with my new tyre fitament tool should allow me to squeeze in some serious rubber. We will see.
As soon as Nick tells me more/takes photos I can put them up
Glad to hear you have the ball rolling again, Luke.
I cant wait to see what Nick comes up with for you.
Good choice in Workshop mate, Nick knows his stuff, as you saw first hand, he nearly cried when he say the condition your block was stored in...She will be a killer when finished.
Yep time to ramp it up. Need to get those 60ft'ers down
Yeah I really like Nick and his approach to stuff. An all round top guy
hi,mate setup sounds awesome also have iron 408 specs very similar but with no headwork and a big single turbo holding mine back at moment due to a4 your,s will be handfull with m6 good luck! as they say good things come to those who wait!!!
Lets finish the engine first and slowly get a handle on it and lean on it-
stick to plan and don't get too excited and it will be more then expected-
i can fix the deck as its possibly the best news you have heard in a while-
i can make the heads work but we need to see if its worth the trouble of spending more money on it.........
also let me know what is going to happen on the missing parts-
Thanks
Nick--

That is good news about the deck.
I will get the other parts Monday hopefully. Should be in the post same day.
I will have a bit of a think about the heads.
Been a while since I updated it..
Great stuff Duke, good luck with the rest of the build - Will be awesome to see it all finished!
