The two hoses im pretty sure went back the same way, the one closest to the drivers side tyre goes back to rack and other one closer to centre of radiator to pump?

Question, will standard VZ HSV brakes fit an Adventra as I'm getting one and want Better stopping power as it's also getting blown at the same time.

No. Best factory brakes you will get are those from an Avalanche or Coupe4. Then you could spend mega coin on a big brake kit, but then you could have wheel fitment issues.

You can go huge rubber on these if you are getting new wheels. Just make sure if going wide back and different to the front keep the rolling diameter the same to look after the awd system
I run billet 3 piece kbr intro 19 with 255 front and 305 rear. Still room to go also. The intro have massive brake clearance too.

48p is stock offset for 18x8 from the Avalanche wheel

    Ultimate's are same as monster, (381 x 6 pot)

you need 20 inch rims to fit these in, and they are extremely close.

My set was the first to have them on, spent 6 months getting them not to hit.

I have a set of HP's 20 inch sitting on a pellet, they are skid pan wheels (buggered tyres) and kerb damaged.

    Cheers

    Steve

I was there Guinea Pig, all good in the end, they got it right.

Looks like you have a much bigger set of anchors on your avalanche. What are they? Where you get them?

I have Avalanche brakes on my CV8. The ones on that red one up there look to be way bigger than factory, and way bigger than what I have.

I was under the impression that the back brakes are the same as normal commodore but the front brakes are unique to adventra / avalanche different they way they bolt on because of the wider track ?

I guess I am late to the awd party but I have just bought a 06 crewman cross 8 with the 6.0l.

Car is coming up from Victoria and should arrive Monday week (or so). Taken a couple for a drive and my BIL had an avalanche wagon which was great to drive...not driven a 6.0l though but hear there is a bit of difference.

Avalanches and other AWD Holdens Pics and Qs

Few more videos so hope they help people out a bit.

This is it as all the jobs are done on the avalanche now. So time to go. Very sad as it's the best all round car I have owned

    Rear seatbelt swap

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HMSZ6v8a_Hs

Lame simple job but maybe useful to some as it's a rare job

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ_rZRQ_7yc

    Water pump swap quick version

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=48TZ4lVDbeE

    Radiator change

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s-r9ICL82DU

    Side mirror change

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UgLki000A_s

Stuck on indicator fault bcm relay change.
Just note if you don't have good soldering gear or basic solder skills take the bcm and relay to a computer repair shop. Not worth stuffing the board.
