I have the Cooper CS4 on my Cross 8, so far so good I don't mind them. Just waiting to see how they handle a load.

Re: Avalanches and other AWD Holdens Pics and Qs

Hi all. I have just joined forum as I am thinking of buying a xuv avalanche 2006 done 125kms. Does anyone have any advice for what to look for or what problems i could be up for further down the track if i do buy it. Going to use it mainly as a work vechicle as a builder. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks Mike

Check all the recalls have been done. Brake lines, toe bar, sunroof.
    Top strut mounts check
    Brake pad and rotor condition
leveling suspension condition and it still works

and service history. Really pretty good bits of kit

    2006 XUV , They went a year longer in N Zed .
there wouldn't be that many over there , would there .

At 125,000 check if they've done the fuel tank filter service ,
I think that's the one where the tank has to come out .

CHeck they've done the diffs and transfer case oils ,
I must get around to fully syning mine one day .

and gear box , they did come out with the stronger 4L65 box ,
BUT a change to synthetic trans fluid would be a bonus .

How long till you put some Chevy badges on it?

    Just kidding.

    Very Nice.

I was joking around with some of the boys at work the other day about getting some GMC badges for the Cross 8, as a bit of a stir. One of the guys has an Omega with Chevs front and back.

Looking at getting an adventra LX8, but theres not much choice in WA. Maybe HSV if the budget can stretch that far, missed out one that was going for 19500, with 144000km on it.
