Congrats on your purchase of a fine looking piece of HSV history.
Enjoy the drive.

I have a sunroof in a VX Calais - you can't forget to close it, if you take keys out of ignition, the roof closes - one thing I'm not so keen on with the roof is the roof line is lower than standard to allow for the roof mechanicals etc, but if you want a roof they do seem to be very well made, I am a bit concerned about the possibility of it leaking, it hasn't so far, I've only had the Calais for about 3 months (still got the Clubby). You could be right about not going the roof. Would be spewing if the thing did leak and damage the interior especially in a Classic like the 427.
Good work on buying one......
enjoyed the story also...

Soren
mmmm humble pie anyone...lol
Nice cars mate.
2011 VE HSV R8, W375 , Manual....
Absolute top stuff mate....two fantastic cars...id have either in my garage although i'd take preference on the W427 - love them
Nice ride, looks hot.
But $150k+ on a Commodore.....I could think of other cars I would buy for that sort of money.
The grey and red sets it off.
i plan to take it to busso...just depends with work etc...
but making plans to bring both down..
haha.....sorry for it, to be strung out...but as i said couldnt post the pics with out help..
eh.....makes for a good story any way...
cheers for the positive comments..
enjoy the cars as i do...half the fun is tell people about it..
if you see either car about dont be shy..walk up and say ello...im always interested in what u guys are hiding in your sheds....and storys make for a yarn over a few beers..
ps
reading the aust. muscle car mag today...
a small article on the build of the W427...basicly tipped that HSV will take a long hard look at making a car like this again, (and not just talking about holden) if not at all...also compared it to a string of "limited build cars" HSV has built...perrty much will be the most rarest and well know cars bulit in aust in the comming years....
but time will only tell....
to all holden fans or for that matter car fans, enjoy whats yours and repesct others what they have got...as 1 day you could have that car u always wanted, and be respected for it......
smiles always..

That is where we differ in opinion mate.
I personally think a real enthusiasts buys the cars to enjoy 100% for themselves and if other people enjoy it - then good and well.
If half the fun is in telling other people about it so you can get your ego boosted I can think of better and more economical means.
For 0.1% of the cost or $155 there are establishments that will do far more than blow wind and stroke the member.
