Not 'next' Dean... They already are as well.
Any modifications that are visible from standard (Fender eliminator, aftermarket pipe) can be stickered, even if it passes. Then go over the pits again.
    Same old story.

Settle down guys. It says that full ADR testing is $3K a pop, but that the IM240 testing is considerably cheaper. Can Street Tuna give a ballpark on what the cost is?
... full ADR emission ... tests are expensive ($3000 or more per test).
... some jurisdictions have instead specified an IM240 test (for petrol or LPG powered vehicles) or a DT80 test (for diesel). These are abbreviated tests which approximate the ADR test regime but are simpler and cheaper to perform.

That's not going to work. They will instead clamp down on car manufacturers, bankrupting one of our already ill industries.

We don't want to try and find out because then it will be too late!

I wonder how insurance companies will interpret this, another loop hole for them..."Sorry your car isn't legal"

Re: WA DPI = Anti-Performance Cars

How do you get a stock car any more stock? What would happen in all seriousness if a stock car failed? That's it? Park it up? It obviously can't be that serious, but they can't turn a blind eye to it

KEC have quoted a minimum of $700 per test, if you fail, then it costs you full price to have it retested

I doubt a blind eye would be turned to a car that fails an emissions test regardless if it's standard or not .

Until they change the exhaust and then it is nullafied, having a peice of paper in the car means jack shit, if the cop doesn't like you they will defect you, they only have to suspect something is wrong and you are history..

Someone needs to tell the DPI the mining boom is done...no more cash!

although something thats been annoying me...KEC being a emissions test centre
a Performance company that sells nothing that would ever be able to complianced or meet these standards are carrying out the tests...
is it just me or is that just a fuucked up situation???

but wait...wink wink nudge nudge...if u have done work at our shop or buy these products we can "pass" the test for ya
Yep if ya buy 1 of there Cats you will pass from what I have heard

Well that means my car will never pass after my last run in with them....
wouldn't matter if its a brand new ****ing car they would never pass it

Would be good to do it though and then prove to the ****ing dicks that started this that there is biast
