Hi All,
I'm more of a dirt type of guy, but here's a pic of my favorite bike. It's a KTM 690 R with a Rally conversion kit. I was using it to train for Dakar but injury set me back a little, so I'm targeting 2017 now. Might come over the Aus to do the Australian Safari Rally next year.

Sorry about the link, I can't post pics yet.
Got my new ride the other day. 2015 BMW S1000RR. Makes 199HP has every single bit of electronic rider aid you can think of; and its actually quite comfortable while at the same time being absolutely mental through the hills. The new quick shifter is incredible too. You only have to use the clutch for moving off. It blips on downshifts for you. Best feature by far; well that and cruise control. The dynamic suspension is excellent too. Its like MRC.. But it actually works.
This intake is massive. Sure as hell there are HP gains at speed with this thing.
The Display is awesome, shows how much traction control has been invoked, the rate of deceleration; and lean angles.
Yesterday with a HP4 Competition
Hi Ryan,
Nice bike, I didn't think a BMW could look that good.
Just figured out what your avatar is.
All the new sports bikes are just phenomenal, and the BMW is a step above the others.
200hp from a one liter NA engine that is totally reliable and perfectly ridable is pretty amazing
Congrats on the new bike
Now come out to morgan park for a trackday.
this section still alive?!
I jsut got a new bike recently. 2006 Yamaha FZ1. slip on pipe, and dropped 2T on the front sprocket and +4T on the rear. Would love a super sport like the BMW but i dont think i could ever get used to the riding position.
Quiet but alive ;-)
Me = Others
Nice toy Macca,
They're mental those BMW super sport 1000's, what a weapon. They're easily the best looking of the lot as well except like most BMW motorbikes, they have to do something gumby with the headlights. The new model you've got looks a lot more subtle than the previous one though looking at the photo of them side by side.
I bet you have a ball on that thing, enjoy yourself and stay alert and safe, they can get away from you very quickly and most drivers are cretins who aren't looking for you. The track is the perfect place to really have fun on a bike safely, I know from experience it can easily go wrong, but at least there's run off area, everyone's heading in the same direction and there's medical straight away.
Best wishes,
Jason
This pic is a little out of date now, have done a few things not pictured. new chain/sprockets and sprocket nuts. New combo of -1/+1, much nicer to ride. Added power commander and some other little things. Seen a very nice MV Agusta Brutale Dragster RR demo model for sale, very tempted to trade in......
Those MVs are gorgeous.
Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS, the day I picked it up from Mack 1 in Midland. That was 16 months ago and it's now got just over 3000kms on her. I've since gotten my R class, or full unrestricted licence so one day when finances permit I'll be trading up to a bigger bike. No real idea what yet but at this moment the shortlist is Ducati 899 Panigale, Suzuki GSXR750 or a nice cruiser like a HD Dyna Street Bob. But in saying that, until I've thrown a leg over a few I won't know!
