    yeah, i've ran a 10.5 @ 127mph in it with the 6lt. When i get time i'll drop in my 6.2 and aim for a high 9.

    Re: 410ci L98 Boost Build

So i raced the drag car on sunday during a private hire event. After putting in a 3rd 044 pump Im now getting plenty of fuel, so i could safely wind the boost up.

I've still got some work to do on it, as it looks like the alternator is only holding around 12v so it requires some recharging after a while, so i mostly did a couple of hotlap runs but it was pretty consistant at running 8.9's when i did some 2nd gear stalls and then pulled it back into 1st for the launch.

I didn't record all my runs but i got the 6 of the quickest on video. :-)

Fastest mph for the day was 158

We only have 1 more round of the fast series left to do, so i'll run it back on spring pressure. during the season break i'll have the accumulator to do, new gearbox with trans brake and i might even change the camshaft to something better suited for the turbo's.

Time sheet data is available here.

    Re: 410ci L98 Boost Build

    Another update.

Took the car to WAW last night, I've changed to a 3.27 diff gear. Tighter converter to suit the new trans-brake th400 (though not using trans-brake)
Also switched to a stiff sidewall slick, apparently from what I've read the soft sidewall is better suited for fixed mounted rear end's. I'd say after last night the new tires are working well. I've never done consistent 1.4's before EVER.

    Re: 410ci L98 Boost Build

yeah, id say so. haha. i did try doing some dyno pulls with it on 12 psi and it was basically useless. it would flash from 5500 to 7k straight away once i tried to load it up.

It's doing pretty well for $600 worth of turbo's!

    Re: 410ci L98 Boost Build

Updating an old thread but the motor is still going strong, but i'll be pulling it out for it's first freshen up within the next few months. The last time i pulled it out and checked the rod bearings they were still like new 18 months ago & i'd done a couple of 1km top speed events in it.

speaking of which, i just competed in the latest event over the weekend, a nice 800km round trip from home & finally got my 200mph window banner by running 324kph. Last year i broke 2 th400 input shafts

    Video below of the run:

my dad ran 321kph in his car too, which we will step up again for next year.
