How about some more pics of the finished interior?
Thanks a lot Pal. Yeah I'll grab some pictures this weekend and put them up. I just got the centre console glovebox lid trimmed up in the same leather with stick to match the seats and door trims. The Thunder ute was pretty poverty pack with seats and interior and I feel like now its made a massive difference just in how it feels inside. Again, I tried to make it look like it was a factory optioned tricked up interior rather than anything that stands out for the wrong reasons.

I am pretty happy with the ute now and I think I might retire it from daily driving at the end of this year. Not sure what the future holds for it but I have no plans to sell it and hope to make sure it sticks around with me for a long time considering there isn't much to be excited about new Holden wise very soon.

    Thanks again mate.

What width are your Simmons? And do you have any problems with rubbing? I have been considering a set for my VE sedan.
Hi Mate, Simmons are 22x8.5 and 22x9.5 on the rear. The thing about these wheels is they are MADE for this car in reality. The fit so much better than my old Chip Foose wheels which I had machined and all sorts of stuff but in the end it was hard to get real low.

My rear guards were cut and rolled when I first bought the car back in 2012 and whilst its near impossible to not get tiny ripples in the arch with the VE, my ones are pretty good. Saying all that the VE sedan def has less room than the ute, but there is another Russo car, a white VE SS sedan with plates MISSV8 that is really low and I know it doesn't scrape with 5 people in the car so you should be fine.

Re: My new Thunder getting BLOWN!

Update on my car... Its gone.

I had planned to literally keep it forever but the Mrs was pregnant and I just couldn't justify driving another car and having this in the shed on top of having 3 car rego's etc and we only have 2 car spaces... Also, I want to be able to do things with my Mrs and with only 2 seats the writing was on the wall unfortunately.

So the car was traded. Fortunately I have picked up a second hand very nice 14 VF GTS. To say I am blown away is an understatement. I might start a new thread on that though.

Thanks for all the advice on BLQWN, it was a great car and very sad to see it go but onwards and upwards.

P.S I have kept the plates...

That’s life mate, doesn’t always go to plan. Sounds like you have found a good replacement project anyway. Keen to see what you do to the new vehicle...

    All the best with it.

Haha thanks mate. There is a bit in store... But very much going to keep the look of it as it came out. Its my favourite HSV ever in look and wheel combo. But going to enjoy it for a white before pulling the donk apart and looking for some low 10 passes as an everyday driver
