Damn shame about the VT but a nice upgrade all the same. Should keep you busy swapping all the bits and pieces over.

Thanks, yeah it might take a bit of time to do so. I'll try aim for extreme horsepower show for it all to be done, if not then it will be done by the AIR 1/8th drags, apart from the diff gears. I want to leave the 3.07's in to get some decent economy.

    Re: Y-Series Senator Signature

Martin gave the Senator a run up on his Mainline this afternoon, to my surprise it pulled a healthy 224rwkw. Not too shabby being stock.

Martin is also going to be supplying me with some of his own brake pads to hopefully stop the dreaded Harrop squeel.

    Pic on the dyno

Some pics of the interior too

    Thanks bud,

Not sure, not really fussed when to be honest. Fraser is still waiting on some parts for me and i might have sold the VT's engine complete as is so ill need to sort out a new cam, chain kit, oil pump and gaskets. Sooner the better though.

Will pull the engine out to do it all and give the engine a lick of paint while im at it.

The new senator looks a beauty, definitely eases the pain of loosing the VT and as you said this is why we have insurance so we can move on and sometimes upwards.

    Re: Y-Series Senator Signature

Pedders managed to help me in fixing my broken coilover from the previous car, so i threw them in the VY the other night with my noltec offset strut tops and changed the rear shock top bushes to nolathane as well. Put on the nolathane strut brace at the same time.

Some pics i took of it yesterday at the SA Cruise for Charity. Havent really searched around for any others.

& here with my mates slammed 235/240 cammed clubby

    Re: Y-Series Senator Signature

How will you make those tips exit on the rear bar considering they are made for a straight bumper of the utes. You need to get an angle on the tip exit to suit the curved bar.
