What is the tatus of thi project?

I have an SD1 here in Canada, and would love to swap the current 3.5 for an LSx and T56. What are the main problems?

    Ken./

Is there anyway to keep the gear stick in the original position, if you wanted to maintain the look for use as a street car?

Look like the T56 is to far back, and alternatives that might locate the gear lever in the correct spot?

One thing to mention you will need a barrier between you and the fuel cell. Can't be in the same hole as you for track work.

    Sheet metal it up.

You come across it a bit with 180sx drifters etc who move to a cell. They just have to sheet metal off where the fuel cell is.

In saying that will depend on what class or how strict they inspect the car. If you are only going for off the street days you will probably never get picked on it. However if the scrute is paying attention he would pick you on it. I would personally anyway if I was checking your car. If you get rear ended or go in ass first at high speed you don't want a busted fuel cell pouring fuel all over you.

Hi Chris. I have a SD1 and want to do the exact same thing you have done. Would you be able to tell me where you had your engine mounts and gearbox mount made? Regards Kev.
