    First HSV..!

    Hi everyone,

Jumped the fence from owning Euro's the past 10 years and signed up to a new Maloo Recently moved from Vic over to Perth and enjoying the life style WA has to offer!

2 weeks or 800km's on and loving it! As its a company car I will be keeping it relatively stock and want to keep my warranty (sad I know)

    Factory options
    - GPS Navigation
    - Reverse camera
    - Launch Control (6spd)
    - 20" Pentagons

    Minor mods so far
    - Genuine Twin hump hardlid
    - 3" Walkinshaw mufflers
    - 8000 HID (low beam)
    - JHP rubber tray liner
    - full interior / rear license plate LED's
    - Tint-a-car Octane (35% front & 17% rear)
    - purchased and returned 2 stubby antennas as received crap reception (anyone in WA recommend a brand that works??)

    Future plans
    - Springs
    - Whiteline front & rear sway bars
    - OTR (VCM or Duspeed)
    - Due to warranty I don't foresee a tune (even Maf) unfortunately

    Couple of pics (sorry iPhone)

Hope to get out and about to meet the WA lads

    Cheers,

    Nath

Looking good Nath, and welcome to the forum.
I've had no luck with the stubby antennas in Perth..
Surely a tune is on the cards, especially if you are going OTR?

Check with your dealer re tuning. Informed my dealer of getting a tune by a reputable tuner, their response was 'awesome'- had no issues with any warranty claims so far, have tune, exhaust, vcm otr. The dealer supplies walkingshaw packs so may be a little more lenient. If they are going to be picky an OTR is an obvious engine mod and they may play funny buggers with that re warranty.

    Awesome first HSV mate!

I see you have the SSV hard lid on, why'd you choose that over the standard maloo lid?

Probably so he could see something out of the letter box rear window! I had the EGR slimline flat lid on my VE SS ute, test drove one with the double hump and couldn't see a thing.

To the op, if you lower the ute you'll find rear vision improves once you 'level out' the rear.

    Nice rig.

You reckon hos? Surely there's bugger all difference between that hard lid and the maloo one for visibility...

Excuse crappy iPhone screen shot, but I reckon Maloo lid would be worse. Don't want to detract from the OP's thread too much!

Don't you also need the Maloo R8 sailplanes for that lid?
