Yea i was talking about methanol just use to remember the drag cars use to have to run much bigger fuel systems and also they didnt need to use intercoolers because the inlet temps where way down using methanol.

Re: Supercharged HSV? - Part 4

OK mine is ready for pick up in the next day or so.

Phone pics at the dealers so quality is below par.

Car has been washed but not detailed so I will need to clay bar the paint on the weekend to get rid of any contaminants and then the whole 2 part wax and polish.

    Initial impressions:

Fit and finish are really good, interior foams are firmer than the Clubbie, the exhaust tips are amazing, the front ducts for the gearbox radiators are an amazing detail, spare takes up a lot of space (refer the other thread). Even the rear brakes look huge let alone the fronts. Those calipers are really close to the rims. Sitting in the driver's seat will be very very nice. Should be mine tomorrow subject to the vagaries of working for a living.

I am really pleased I went with the SV bits and left the LSA badge off. Not to make a sleeper but it is a cleaner view.

And before you ask it was damn hard (I am using euphemisms) walking back outside to drive the Rodeo home!

Thank you to Andrew and HSV.

A little aside, #2 son went to one of the shopping centres today and a standard Clubbie was being raffled. The guy with the tickets called him over and said hey want to buy a ticket in a GenF Clubsport. No thanks I am on my red Ps. What about for your dad? No need, he picks up his GTS this week!

That looks like the Tullamarine freeway in Melbourne. Could be wrong, though...

Great looking cars anyway. Follow that truck!

G'Day "Eagerly Waiting", "Soon To Be" GTS ...DRIVERS.
I wish you guys all the best for many miles of happy motoring, and they should be pretty happy miles, with 430KW.
I know what it's like to wait, anyway, not long now for some of you, I'm sure your new GTS will be all, & more, than you expected.
    Good Luck, Pickles.

Brakes look even bigger in real life.
Was great to get a look at Micheal's GTS. It surely is a classy weapon that's for sure.
Totally different look from mine all. A good thing that they can be configured to taste.

    Re: Supercharged HSV?

Interesting you didn't mention your tanty at not being able to take it home today. Joking of course.

Good thing you got the back of my head, walking away is my best feature!

The three colours I have seen so far look great, red with the big spoiler is certainly the business and I suspect the SV spoiler would be a bit lost on the darker "make my day punk" colours; though on the white I prefer the SV spoiler as the big one seemed too big if that makes any sense. The nitrate looked classy too, I originally ordered silver and would have been happy with that but went back to white since we have had a string of silver cars lately including #1's Cruze.

I had a good look at the W427 while waiting for Simon. I don't ever recall having the opportunity to sit in one before or being able to have a detailed look. The engine bay sure is special. The black one needs some tlc. Looks as though it hasn't been detailed yet and sitting for a couple of weeks has taken the gloss off it. Not a fan of the crime scene interior on the E series but could live with it on the GenF because there isn't the same splash of colour on the dash and wheel. Everyone is different of course just doesn't appeal to me.

The highlight of this morning was seeing Simon's face light up when the engine started in sport mode. Just like mine did and does.

EDIT: Guys make sure you order or ask the dealer for a slimline plate for the front, the standard size is ok but doesn't look as neat and the support is set up for the slimlines. I have ordered some for mine, nothing special same standard Queensland against Transport number. White on black though.
