    I joined the 6litre club

Picked up a VZ 6.0 auto ss Sedan today in Quicksilver.

It has done 126000km has pacemaker extractors and a twin 2.5 exhaust. Looking at doing a mafless tune and otr for now, possible small blower in the future when i save the coin up.

This car won't be a stripped out racer, more of a fun day off car with the odd run at the Motorplex.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow

The Holden 6lt in a VZ is not an LS2, they were only in the HSV range. It is either an L98 or L76, can't remember now but pretty sure it is L98.
    Nice car by the way.

Vz ss 6.0 sedan will be L76 mine was..
Internally they have Dod hardware which needs to be removed if a cam install is undertaken.

The car has the L76 motor. It will see some 'plex action when my roster allows. For now I'm enjoying the v8 burble. First thing to do is go over the car and see what bushes and maintenance needs doing. Apparently it had been serviced but I choked on the dust from the air filter lol nice work shacks.uploadfromtaptalk1382781120323.jpg

Nice Z, while on L76's in the VZ series some were DOD deleted whilst under warranty! I found same with mine build stamped L76 but had all DOD hardware already removed.
Quizzed the previous owner & they didn't have it done.
If you do need to remove above best check first before buying any kits etc. One tell tale sign is intake manifold original will have elec conn @ rear for DOD solenoids.
The 6L with good valve springs, baby cam & tune should net up to 300rwkw's

What size do you consider a baby cam, I'm guessing 300rwkw would be through a manual.
    It's averaging 12.9l/100 @ 45km/h, don't know why I waited so long, loving it.

I tuned a M6 VZ l76 recently that made 323rwkw with a 219/227 cam. It's nice all round performing cam

I've always said I would do heads if I ever did a cam again. I'm still leaning towards a pd blower.
