Happy to second him!

Today Lunch!
Off to a shaky start....
When Carlton dropped the car off I asked about the aftermarket alarm... turns out there's a "Key" and can't just disconnect the battery.. (he's making the not inconsiderable trip up here to drop it off)
I figured I could do some of the pre pull prep and started draining fluids only to find the wheels had corroded to the front hubs, I mean seriously corroded you could have drive the car with no wheel nuts..
Managed to persuade them to come off then started dropping the exhaust.. BZZZZ wrong, the WB02 sensor was NOT undoing as it was already rounded on the Hex flats..
Unbolted the Cat Pipe and cut the wiring figuring I'd just clamp the Sensor in the vice as it was already rooted... nah no way, soaked it in CRC still no go, tried leverage.. nah broke out a BIG Hammer and Cold Chisel didn't budge a thou of an inch... so it's new Cat pipe and Sensor time, the smallest smear of Sensor safe antiseize would have prevented hours of bullshit..
Onward and upward... it won't win!
Arrr the joy's of working on cars, the 10 minute job that takes 4 hours... the spanner you put down for 5 seconds, then spend an hour looking for the friggen thing...
Remind's me of when I replaced the front rotors on my bro's VSII supercharged calais, car was only 3 years old at the time and the front rotors were totally rusted onto the hubs...
No jackscrew holes in rotors (like my 200sx), so mash hammer and piece of wood and lots of bashing, the suckers finally came off...

Ok who was the nut fukker who last played zorsts on this SS??
That's a reasonably clean LS1 considering it's mileage!
Now for IJ to weave his magic on this puppy
I wasn't actually going to drop it out today... felt ok for a change so pushed on
Just wow ...... that happened really quickly .......... jeez mate, that was probably on the ground before I got home *wink*
Looking forward to seeing some pics from tomorrows activities (then again, the way today went for you, maybe I shouldn't watch for a bit .....); t'is a bit exciting though.....

Teardown is going well got it to the long block stage, have ID a lot of issues with the PCV system, will give it a bit of a bath before I break it down to components.
I would start by putting the blower on the right way......Its back to front, looks like it will just create a blown transmission...Ok I'm joking, looking forward to following this thread.
