Sooner I get it done the sooner I can get back to mine and finish it off, I've missed the bulk of the Autocross calendar for this year so there's no huge rush but would be nice to get a few runs in

Never been a huge fan of the stock sintered rods and by the time you look at putting decent bolts in them it makes more sense to go forged, ditto on the pistons!

Yep dropping it to 9.3:1 static Mick, should allow a bit more timing.

Fair enough. If you can divulge what are the rods and pistons going in?

CP Bullets and Scat I beams with ARP2000 bolts Woody, actually had a bit of a hard time finding Forged parts to suit the stock stroke...

Would have been the appropriate time for a 383 crank!

Got a call from my machine shop, pistons and rods have arrived, of course the rods aren't "perfect" so the guys are resizing them knowing I can be a bit of a fussy prick, turns out it had a bent intake Valve which explains the Craptacular idle when it's cold and why it was feeling down on power for some time, bit odd as there were no marks on any of the piston crowns...

New Radiator is on it's way to replace the eroded leaking one in the car, victim of "stray current"..

Good to see they know their customers and go that little bit extra to ensure your are happy with the product.
