I hope that isn't the HUD windscreen you wanted to keep?

I'd agree and as you said Cobalt there would be a lot of $ lot that could be used for other work that you will want to do and may hold the project up anyhow. If you have the time wait and get it setup like you want the first time. It will be one of those things wait and it will feel like such a long time. Jump the gun and what you want will turn up tomorrow. By the sounds of it there is still a lot of work to be done before you need a donor car. Keep up the good work this is an awesome project.
Talked to the panel shop next door and he reckons it would be 3k to swap all that is required to put the VF bits into the VE and paint the underside of the cars and engine bay. That's all going to be black regardless of what colour I paint the car. So I have a VE that is for auction at pickles on Thursday. It is a repairable write off. I will fix it up as a VE get it wovr inspected and register it. Then gut it - modify the firewall - paint it and assemble. If the repairable one goes for to much I have one lined up for 7k that's not a write off. I really need to get the body on the go as the painter will take a month at least to get it done and I'll be champing at the bit by then.
Have a tight schedule Chad but doable no doubt.
With the rear bar, could you use a Maloo rear bar??
Maloo rear bar is the wrong shape. Too flat. We have looked at it. The sedan bar is to tall and to curved. It may actually just look stupid. I will have a spare wagon rear bar so we will pull apart the sedan bar and remove the grey plastic diffuser on the wagon bar do some minor surgery and see what it looks like. We will then know if the curves and angles will look ok and we can proceed from there. I will probably send the VF bar out to paint to be able to drive it and then work on the modified one at the end. We sized all this up last night. I'm actually going to do the partial mock up tomorrow to see if we can get the angles to work without looking wrong.
Will changing the firewall require an engineers certificate?
Red Hot M6 VE SS Ute. Curves yes please on my women and my road.
I'm not actually changing the firewall just filling a hole with a plate. We ill weld it in rather than it bolting to the ve so its stronger than the original. You cant see it and you wouldnt know so I'm not going to tell if you don't.
Best of luck with the build mate love a good wagon!
Hey mate, have you seen this rolling shell for sale?

Not sure if you want a complete car or not. $5k seems a little high though.
Love the project and can't wait to see the finished product.
Cheers,
Vaughn
Chad a fortnight has passed...how is the build progressing?
