    Bargain, far from it...

I call this a bargain for a Superbike, around $40K Aus (or $55K with full Motec data logging), 218HP at the back wheel 4 years ago!!!.... and this exact bike is only 4 seconds off... the current Motogp lap record at Phillip Island.

In ASBK rules it was running on the OEM factory cast wheels too!!!......

No Forged / light weight wheel allowed, to keep the cost's down...

Lol it's used and 4 seconds is an eternity in circuit racing. $15k for data logging. New bikes have all the sensors stock incorporated into the OEM ecu. Just buy the cable. That's a analog bike too mate and highly modified with cams and no doubt bulk headwork. You can make that power on a stock BMW with just tuning lol. Completely different ballpark. No one will be racing that old stuff soon

The only difference between the current 4 seconds (eternity??????......), is around $50K for an ASBK spec bike and the Multi Million Dollars plus, for a current MotoGP bike...

Those 4 seconds are so expensive to gain, and aren't an eternity when you put it into context... millions of dollars + for only 4 second...

In 2017 4 years later, there is still only a 4 second gap between ASBK and MotoGP bikes at Phillip Island...

    The HP4 Race in not a Bargin @ $120K +

Cost over twice as much, it's a full factory built bike, to quote BMW "HP4 RACE is in the same category as current superbike factory racing machines"...

Again it's USED!! So ok, Build one from scratch for $40k. The stock gixxer nowadays is 27k lol good luck . A top tier WSB is well over $100k. All BMW has done is make one available that a team doesn't even have to build! Buy it, race. Plus. You don't see exotic frames being used. That all comes with it

    $40K... Easy no problem!!!...

Makes more power for half the cost, and you call it junk...

That's called a Bargin... Deny all you want, your loss not mine...

Does it make more power does it! Doubt it mate and remember that's stock. It's all about HP too right. Stick with your old K2 mate and don't ride anything new. You'll be heartbroken when you understand how dated it is

Your calling Phil Tainton a liar.... Are you Serious!!!!.....

The bike in the video won the 2013 ASBK championship with Wayne Maxwell, how much more convincing do you need...

218hp at the rear wheel is higher than 215hp of the HP4 Race is it not...

Doubt and deny all you want....

Your not familiar with BMW bikes clearly. When they state HP it's always on the conservative side unlike the jappers. The new gixxer case in point. Claims 200. Barely makes 180. Have you seen a HP4 Race dyno tested? Have you seen what one will do once tuned with the racekit 3 software? No!! But I can sure as shit tell you right now it will make more than 218hp. Hell the stock RR engines are doing that with tuning alone let alone this thing

Ahhh this for a start. 300 000 euros is the rough cost to build a leading WSBK. Hence. BARGAIN!!

Hey if you just want to go for horsepower maybe you should buy one of these. Also track only sorry. But $60k for over 300HP isn't bad

Ohhh but it doesn't have a precious Sukuki badge on it. Oh well I guess you could always Turbo a Hyabussa. That will be just as good a bike after all

    Article is 3 years old...

WSBK are far more expensive per bike than ASBK being the cheapest well under $100K for a bike, British BSB & Moto America Superbikes are $100K + for bikes... Big difference...
