Funds won't allow a new exhaust system and it's only a pin hole, I'll get it tacked and it will be fine for another couple of years.
Definitely ouldn't mind a Manta system though if I was to replace it.

How old is your exhaust mate?

(Have seen some mild steel systems last an amazing length of time in the past few years.)

I doubt there would be very many, much older systems still in use than that one Mick!

Exhaust is only 2-3 years old I believe. It's a Redback mild steel twin 2.5" system.
It has been welded as one piece and bolts to the cats just like my BMW E23 (factory) twin 2" exhaust, which was a hoot to remove by myself when I fixed that.

That wouldn't be unusual with some of the ms systems nowadays. The first ms XForce system had fitted had cans replaced under warranty due to rust! So the next went SS & never looked back. Did same on my Crewie too.

The car DID have an XForce system when my mate bought it but it was pretty much falling off, hence the Redback system.
Went down south to a mates shed yesterday and had the pin hole welded up. No change to the exhaust note or anything but at least it is fixed.

Car is booked in to have the diff oil changed over Tuesday. For all I know it's the original oil from 15 years ago, its more for peace of mind than anything else.

Also washed, polished and waxed the car today, it's looking so much better than before

I actually know 3 people with Redback systems, same as OP, they are Aussie made using BHP steel
one of them is over 10 years old, the other 2 are about 5 or 6 years old, no leaks or problems on any!

I put a redback system on my vy ss when i had it and it was great. Swapped the rear muffler for a couple of hotdogs and it sounded great.
The car produced good numbers after a 2 hole mod and mafless tune aswell

The article is online and FREE! I'm definitely picking up a copy of the magazine though.
