    Time for a new exhaust

Hi Guys, my VY SS with 81,000kms is now up for a new exhaust as my existing one has rusted out due to extreme lack of use

    My current system consists of:
    - Di Filippo 1 3/4” headers
    - Ballistic 3” cats
    - Xforce Twin 3” mild steel exhaust

My car has a mild cam, slight headwork and all the main bolt-ons. About 6 years ago I did an experiment (for increase of noise and seat of my pants ) swapping from a DF twin 2.5” exhaust to a twin 3”. At the time I really only had two choices (that I knew of), XForce for $550 and DF which was close to $2K at the time. So of course I opted for the cheaper option lol.

6 years on, I still really like the sound of the XForce twin 3” exhaust at idle and WOT (with the rest of my exhaust combo) , however I swear it also makes a few random raspy noise every now & then lol. But since the mufflers have rusted out it’s definitely time to buy a decent stainless steel cat back exhaust.

At the moment I’m tossing up between an XFORCE (rrp of $1200) & Manta (rrp of $1500). So I’m wondering:
    - who on here has gone from an XForce twin 3” to a Manta twin 3”? And what are your thoughts on differences of sound at idle, cruise and WOT?
    - is the Manta exhaust a direct replacement to the XForce where it just bolts up or are there piping modifications required to the cats in order to fit the Manta?

    Thanks guys

Oh wow, I heard a rumour that DF shut shop in the last few months. Didn’t realise Manta bought them out
